Even though the original Myst looks like it was rendered in a home architecture program, it still makes some of the pictures from the 3d version look terribly dull.
Myst III's 360 renders were really something else. It wasn't made by Cyan though.
This game drove me insane.

They've been on GOG for a while, why are you jizzing yourself now? These will just have compatibility problems. And probably be more expensive.

I only ever played the demo of Myst, but played nearly all of Riven. I've bought both simply for nostalgia.

Uh no they won't. They aren't going to sell a game that is broken on modern systems. Hell even X-Com is sold on Steam and to get it to work it just uses a build of DosBox.

The people at cyan, though now just a handful now, have been working up updated versions of myst and riven, the most recent incarnation is myst for the iphone.
I found my Myst CD not that long ago for nostalgia purposes.

Ok. That's not what you'll be getting on Steam though. They don't even have Masterpiece. Just shitty realMyst.
