Slenderman not being cool anymore has nothing to do with SomethingAwful. Slenderman stopped being cool because it's horribly overused.
I thought slenderman was silly from the very beginning. It's just..a long limbed man...with no face. Sounds like something I'd hear in a scary story at a camping trip or something.
