:frown:
I got the magazine like a week ago... It also showed some sexy screenies for Halo: Reach
WHY does everyone get so emotional over episode 3? Honestly I wanna play it too, but hell I can wait for it.

I honestly didn't expect Ep3 this year anyway. Until I actually hear something from Valve, I'm concidering it TBA.
I'm happy if they just release a trailer or two.
Mutiny!
My only hope is that Valve is being so quiet so that they can release the game a month after announcing it. Like they intended to do with the original Half Life 2.
I told them! They did not stop calling Gabe Newell names!
I can wait...
Hasn't Valve said over and over that Ep. 3 is the last in the story but not the last in the series?
If they even dare to release EP3 in a package with other new source engine games chances are the game wont fucking release till the end of 2011 or will the middle of 2012 because Valve are fucking super slow at development (Not that it's a bad thing) I'm almost sure there is so far 0 production in EP3 so far. It would be a very dumb idea to release just a Half life 3 in taking place of EPISODE THREE if there isn't going to be hardly new content. Seriously if they even dare to pull some shit like that they damn well better come out with more guns, better enemies, better fucking AI, and larger maps with less fucking loading times. Otherwise Ill bitch all the way up to china.
Because we are hardcore fans
Yes, which means that any other project Valve works on is seen as a waste of time. I can wait, but I'd rather it has a long development time rather than it never being started.
I'm hoping that they are releasing Ep3 with some new, unannounced games that they are making. Or maybe they are making ep3 very long so that all the hl2 loose ends are met and the story is ready for a new adventure.
they are probably having troubles figuring out a way to rap up the story [editline]09:02PM[/editline] no edit?
We can only hope they'll release some FUCKING GAMEPLAY.
damn valve come the fuck on, just screw episodic, and do a full game
damn valve come the fuck on, just screw episodic, and do a full game
I'm not waiting another six years.
Wasn't expecting it in 2010 either.
it's valve. learn valve time http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Valve_Time
(This year's) holiday season = Fall of next year

This year = Next year
I hate people saying Valve's slow. They're a small company compared to others. 04 was HL2 and CS:S, 05 was DoD:S (not much, but still), 06 was Episode 1, 07 was TF2, Portal, and Episode 2, 08 was L4D and 09 was L4D2. You people whining about no Episode 3 yet don't realize how long it takes to make a video game, not to mention Portal 2's coming out before it most likely, because Aperture Science is part of the Half-Life universe that wasn't explained well so far. There's also the case of which that they're still providing regular updates to other games, like the TF2 updates and Left 4 Dead DLC.
Another possibility I just thought of: Perhaps they're working on some neat DirectX 11 features in a highly updated version of Source for use with Episode 3/HL3? Also, the big update to Counter-Strike: Source might also be a selling point assuming that isn't out before this is released.
I'm pretty sure that gabe said ages ago that EP3 would be out 2011 at the very earliest.
:saddowns:
they're not small
Yeah, they have around 150 members, only a few are working on the updates for L4D and TF2, so what the fuck are they doing.
They need to scrap source, it's an out of date engine by todays standards. My guess is they are either making source 3 or revamping the engine, hence the long wait.
