Ever since I watched 1408 I got amazed over how many mindfucks there were in that movie. I was wondering, are there any other movies with as many or more scary mindfucks like this one had.
Check out Pi ,Jacob's Ladder, or Vertigo. That last one isn't really a horror film but it does mess with your mind.
ha i remember when you think that the guy is out of the hotel when he's at the post office, but then all the walls get ripped down and he's still in the room say whaaat
Abre Los Ojos(Open Your Eyes) is my favorite mind fuck movie. Much superior to the remake(Vanilla Sky).
Shutter island kept me guessing up until the end, but it wasn't really a horror movie.
how about you guys spoiler tag that stuff please
Sorry for that. Does anyone know any good mindfuck movies from 2000 and up? Except for 1408 then.
I ALWAYS get frisson whenever I think about the scene at the end when [sp]he turns on the tape recorder and you can hear him talking to his daughter[/sp] FUCK I AM GETTING FRISSON JUST THINKING OF IT.

In the story he escapes the room, I think. By that I meant the novel.
There are actually 2 endings to 1408. I prefer the UK release ending.
An alright Horror/Mind fuck film, mainly horror, is Mirrors.
Mirrors was crap but the ending was pretty cool.
Mirrors was crap but the ending was pretty cool.
The ending in mirrors made up for the other 100 minutes of bullshit. It was fantastic. It also had a water part that I was reminded of when I played Amnesia.
Shutter island kept me guessing up until the end, but it wasn't really a horror movie.
I actually never knew the story for this movie, so when I went to go see it, within the first 20 minutes of the movie I was easily able to predict the plot including the ending. Regardless, I still enjoyed the movie a whole lot.

The extended edition of The Shining is the closest I've found to it. But then I don't watch that much horror.

[editline]12:19AM[/editline] Though I have to say the ending wasn't predictable, but I somehow thought it'd be more grim.
The ending of Mirrors was pretty messed up, maybe grim isn't the word but that was an "oh shiat!" moment.
