Can Facepunch send a video viral, and change a law? Lets try.

First off, before you start laughing and discarding this post, take some time and watch at least a good 10 minutes of the video posted below. You might actually see the reasoning behind the post if you take a few minutes, instead of jumping to conclusions that something isn't possible.
Marijuana should be legal. It should not just be decriminalized, but fully legal...
A few months ago, Kony was a huge hit internationally, even if it was for just a few weeks. One little team of people did this. Can Facepunch, with it's abundance of members, make a video go viral? How about a social issue documentary, such as Marijuana being illegal.

This is the video I want to make go viral. Now I doubt anyone will read this post and take it seriously, but if you watch the video you may just come back and understand it.
If you agree with me, lets see if we can post this video all over the internet. Social networks. Schools. Friends. Anything.
I've taken the steps of sending my entire school the video anonymously, which consists of 1000 people. If every person can send it out to 1,000 people, we can get this viral. This will change the world if it's done, and it would be incredible to see.
Watch the video, and if you don't take this seriously and see it as a joke, so be it. I doubt this will take off as I want it to, at least from Facepunch, but maybe it will. Maybe this post will spark something in someone, as the video did to me.
Edit:
The video has so much interest they're making a much bigger sequel. It has made the 190,000 dollar goal, up to 240,000 now.

Right, the thing is weed isn't a wonder drug. Neither is smoking or alcohol and why would we want to create another type of that? We can't ban smoking now because too many people are hooked. And for you guys, the prices are cheaper.

Of course not, it's not blown out to be. But it's ridiculous that we let governments control choices like this. This video sparked some kind of emotion in me to send it to everyone I know that's against it, to change the largely misinformed public.
I'm not saying weed is like smoking but it isn't perfect. I don't want more people getting lung cancer.

That's not marijuana.

And this is one of the myths debunked completely in the video. Actually watch it! It may just change your mind.
That's not marijuana.
I don't fully get what you mean, but what I meant by that is that the smoke will cause lung cancer. I don't want to lose aquientences to that when/if it's legal because they think they can go mad with it.

Watch the video and stop repeating the myth. That's not how cancer works either.
Do you really think this will change the minds of lawmakers? People have tried, they will not be convinced, you need to get rid of them

Either way, smoke isn't good for your lungs.

You don't know what you're talking about.
Do you really think this will change the minds of lawmakers? People have tried, they will not be convinced, you need to get rid of them
It won't, but if it got huge within public hands, it would change the public's view. That's what needs to be changed in order to make something happen.
Regardless, this thread is pretty stupid. Surprise, the campaign to legalize marijuana has been viral for the past few decades. In California, we were even successful in getting Marijuana Legalization on the proposition ballot for vote.
Other States like Washington and Colorado are also following suit and putting it on the ballot for the public to decide.
Either way, smoke isn't good for your lungs.
There are many ways to consume marijuana without smoking it.
we arent your personal army
or something like that
even though im sure dd will be here in force soon about the benefits of maryjiuna
The sequel to this movie is coming out soon.

They actually received enough funding, here's the link in case anyones wondering.

How about we make the worst most disappointing video ever and get that to be viral? When other videos go viral people will always "It isn't like that one video is it?" Or in another situation they would pretend to enjoy it and people would lash at them for having a comedic retardation of humor. And thus the crumbling descent of society pretending to involve itself into internet silliness would begin.
It would be one of the greatest videos ever made as well as the worst one to watch. It would be a glorious masterpiece. A complete work of art.
That is the only video I would support in going viral.

But it has been largely misconceived by the ignorant public, some even thinking it's as dangerous as crack.
There are many ways to consume marijuana without smoking it.
weed needles
Weed cures everything, raises the dead, mends the ozone layer and stops terrorism.
Smoke it every day
weed doesn't cause lung cancer ya dweebs.. the main cause is shite from tobacco like tar, benzene, cadmium, arsenic and all that crap which isn't part of the marijuana plant at all... unless you roll ur pot with some regular tobacco, the only part that *might* be cancerous is the wrappin paper and even that's less cancer causin' than eating mandarins (which also cause cancer, like p. much everything does in great quantities).
on another note, in some countries where weed is 'allowed' or legal even, lotsa people workin' stressful jobs like surgeons and other fancy shit are recommended to smoke pot occasionally to calm da nerves
THC is far from as addictive as nicotine, and the synthesized version is a widely distributed medicine
the reason weed is illegal is because it numbs the brain and influences handling (then again, smoke hashish and thats a whole different story LOL) but then again so does alcohol and a buttloade of other legal substances..
name me 1 reason why weed should be illegal ya nerds
I don't think weed is a wonder drug or any less dangerous than alcohol or regular tobacco, I just want to het high without worrying about being arrested.
I don't think weed is a wonder drug or any less dangerous than alcohol or regular tobacco, I just want to het high without worrying about being arrested.
It's far less dangerous than alcohol, even if there's any kind of addiction to weed, it doesn't have a chance out outright killing you from the stress of withdrawal on your body. Plus, i've never heard of weed interacting badly with medications, causing damage and death.
Tobacco just has a bunch of additives that shouldn't even be in something for human consumption, those anti-smoking posters that talk about the chemicals in it aren't entirely bullshit. They actually coat the paper with an oxidizing chemical to help the cig stay lit. I could go on and on about the dangers of tobacco and alcohol, but i won't. Weed, sure, not a lot of things that are bad about it, but it's not a massive cure all for people.
It certainly shouldn't be illegal, even decriminalization would work, considering that where i live in Missouri, simple possession of more than 35g will get you 7 years in prison potentially if it's not your first time getting caught. less than 35g will get you a hefty fine and a short time in jail.

releases oxygen once burnt
And here are some good reasons (from College Humor) for why it should not be legalized.

No.
Showing The Union to everyone in Congress isn't going to get weed legalized. And posting it on Facepunch isn't going to do anything but get you rated dumb by people who get all their jimmies rustled over plants and start a waterfall of "SMOKE = CANCER THEREFORE ILLEGAL".
As much as I want it to be legalized, you're going to have to do a lot more than just spam videos everywhere.

How constructive and mature of you.
I for one would switch straight to marijuana from beer in an instant if it were legalized.

But yeah in all seriousness this should happen
