alternate youtube, 10-20 seconds behind (the destiny channel has more livestream languages going but i think they might be region locked or something): the stream will have interviews randomly before the actual event starts, confirmed by one of the dudes working there. also, random person streaming in the crowds at the event Cause fuck it why not: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDXcj9XRXds
2 minutes to go
i got in 20 seconds before it started by pure accident
starts off with zavala learning to be a good guardian
So much of this looks like the same animations and models as destiny 1. Some of this seems like it could seriously just have been the difference between vanilla and taken king. And then that on top of the dark ~artsy~ lighting engine that will absolutely get downgraded before launch.
Boy destiny 2 sure looks a lot like destiny.
Titan Captain America meta op
i literally started crying like actual tears i couldnt see the stream bruh
So what they practically did is make an expansion, change around the system a little bit, make three supers that practically do the same thing, and sold it as a full priced game. That's the impression I get from just watching this though. All they advertise are things that are pretty fucking expected. Like "A new story! Cinematics! A new raid!". Like, no shit. Better be good though.
didn't even see the patrol/cruicible/strike/raid side of the game yet seems like they are massively rebuilding the patrol section of the game. you can launch everything without going to orbit. Mini-dungeons in the world which im guessing are randomized
Did they say 4v4 crucible? was it not 6v6 before?
They keep saying "raid". Singular. Makes this sound like a DLC.

Because man, Destiny had some crazy shit in it for all the issues it had.
They keep saying "raid". Singular. Makes this sound like a DLC.
Every expansion usually comes with 1 raid. raids are always multi-hour experiences so its not like getting just one is a bad thing
Did they say 4v4 crucible? was it not 6v6 before?
It confuses me why people in the audience also applauds these downgrades. The presenters even go "Eh? Eh?" whenever no one applauds. [editline]18th May 2017[/editline]
Every expansion usually comes with 1 raid. raids are always multi-hour experiences so its not like getting just one is a bad thing
Raids are usually multi-hour experiences in any game they're in. Having just "one" in the base game of Destiny is laughable when other games handle more.
i dont think they said that 6v6 is going away, just that they are adding 4v4
i dont think they said that 6v6 is going away, just that they are adding 4v4
They said they are rebalancing the system around 4v4.

WoW does it, FFXIV does it, plenty of games launch with one raid. Whether or not they add more in a reasonable time frame is a different story.
more intergrated clan support, reward system for clans.
Honestly I think Call of Duty uses more new assets than this, I'm just seeing a bunch of shit from the first and it's quite annoying really, like, is this really Destiny 2 or is just DLC for the first game.
honestly this is going to be the new definition of an expansion pack sequel, it feels like
I just caught the trailer but they way they said "We have new strikes, we have a new raid, we have new supers" just made it sound like an expansion. Of course all of it was plastered over gameplay that looked the exact same. I get iteration, and I never expected Destiny to take a huge departure, but from what I'm seeing this looks like Destiny 1.5 more than Destiny 2.
Clans... EVERYONE GETS A REWARD. A RAID FINDER. How original.
And now they're making a big deal about matchmaking a random or two with groups of players.
Well they aint getting my money this time, I got fucked over the first game and I'm not getting fucked over again, I'll see how it is in 2 years time.
Matchmaking should have been in the first game from day one. It's kind of making me unreasonably perturbed that they're treating such a simple industry standard like its some big amazing feature.
This... is kinda embarrassing. The only features that have stood out are things like matchmaking, which should have fucking been in the game in the first place

BWAAAAAAAN
I don't know what I expected but this just looks like a slightly prettied up Destiny with just new missions, features that should've been in the base game and ~a raid~
