Basically, this game is a piece of shit with no unsubscribe button. They spent 1 billion dollars on this.
Completely agreed with that part about your story disappearing after a while.
I was happy enough just playing the game in a pretty much single player fashion, but then I dealt with my nemesis, and well... Nothing interesting happened after that, and I still had 20 levels to go...
Oh ho ho, so that's why they call him Han Solo
Personally I'm only interested in playing the game like a singleplayer RPG but my problem is that I don't want to pay the sub fee if I don't want to get everything out of it.

100 million big difference
I hear the Smuggler story sucks as well. The Imperial Agent story was awesome though with a gratifying ending.
Also you don't get lightside points for picking a darkside option and not winning the conversation roll. He could have atleast grouped up once and seen for himself that you still get your points, you just see the action of whoever won the roll.
I'm loving my sith warrior's story. But then again I hear most of the people I talk with in-game say we got the best story.
But I don't know. Only got 1 toon atm. I'm both loving and hating the game.

Is the video broken for any else?

The moral choice system still sucks. If you stay Neutral you can't get any decent relics, or at least I haven't been able to find any. So glad I unsubbed from the game.

Devs said they are adding in neutral relics in the very near future.
I'm liking my Smuggler story so far.

Should have been in the game in the first place. Small bugs and balances issues are OK on release, not shit like that. The game reminds me of SWG, but every piece is worse. Space combat is worse, Line of sight abuse is worse, Galactic bazaar is worse, housing is worse/non existent. Only thing it has going for it is a few decent story lines, but those aren't worth paying 15$ a month for ontop of a 60$ initial fee.

SWTOR does a lot of things better than SWG. I liked SWG and I can admit that.

They aren't really comparable anyway. One is a themepark MMO and the other is a sandbox.

So you can only get them if you got no extreme alignment? That sounds kinda silly. Why not just drop the alignment-exclusive items altogether and make it exclusively relevant for story progression/character interaction?
I dunno, maybe it's the guy inside me that doesn't like how player customization is becoming the same thing as loadout customization in RPGs or games with "RPG elements".
FUCKING KY JELLY ADS
SWTOR would be good if it had no monthly subscription fee.
I wish BioWare had stuck to SP games. I'm not usually one to instantly jump on the band wagon but once I heard they were making the new C&C, I knew the last BioWare game I'd buy would be Mass Effect 3.
Thanks for nothing, EA.
I don't see what everyone is bitching about. The game is fine. Every game has issues on release, especially MMOs.

For the one thing it does better, it does 2 things worse. It did its storyline better, but did it's mail system and vehicle system worse, it did it's level-up quest-grinding better, but it did pvp and crafting worse. I could go on and on. SWG is still superior in my mind, and I wish they hadn't closed it down, shoulda gone to F2P or something.
Everybody I know that bought this game stopped playing within the first few weeks. I don't know the exact reasons, but it's something I've noticed so obviously the game does have more than a few issues.

I've played a lot of MMO's over the years and SWTOR doesn't even really compare on a scale of games that launch with bugs. It has (had) some bad ones but not really on the scale of other games.
Add to this the fact that it's not only Bioware's first MMO, but their first multiplayer game full-stop, it's pretty impressive it came out as polished as it did.
I like it a lot so far and They've already added new content into it. They did a really good job to make grinding not exist really.

I can't really say why since I haven't played much myself, but I just know that everyone I've met who got the game dislikes it already and I guess this review is some insight into that.

Really (and this goes double for MMOs) it is all about personal experience. Playing MMOs alone (like Yahtzee does) really drags the game down to a crawl. But playing with friends and/or randoms is seriously some amazing fun. Especially when 16 random people on a planet all team up to take down a heroic world boss.
I played it a bit got a few characters to level 28.. But i don't enjoy smashing computer controlled stuff that gives you no challenge.
And thats where it stopped being fun.
PVP is unbalanced. You have like 4 classes who just steam roll everything and the rest can't really do anything.
Lag in the game or 'ability lag' as they call it should never be in any game. You can't play 'hutball' a game designed around high ledges and knocking people off and have a 1 second delay on push back abilities. Sure they said they are fixing it in a patch but it's the graphics engine they are using. It's just a terrible engine.
Aside from that the game itself feels clunky. Play swtor and try to queue up spells or tab target anything. If your gonna die you get a little freeze when your still alive but the game thinks your dead so you get like a 1 second pre death stun effect.
However when you report feedback you get smarmy admins. I posted on the forums with feedback and it got shoved to page 5 nearly instantly with all the other threads of just forum shitters.
So i reported in game and got an admin that said if its posting to page 5 try another browser. You can't have people talk to you like that when you are playing at very least a pay to play BETA
Having played the old republic, if you just generally do the main story quest, the game stay's relatively interesting, but doing all the side quests i found the game becoming repetitive and boring especially around tatooine.
