[release] TEHRAN (FNA)- Commander of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Navy Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi said his forces will conduct naval exercises in the strategic Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf in February. Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi told FNA the exercises next month would focus directly on the Strait of Hormuz, which leads out of the Persian Gulf and provides the outlet for most Mid-East oil. "Today the Islamic Republic of Iran has full domination over the region and controls all movements within it," Fadavi said. An estimated 40 percent of the world's oil supply passes through the waterway. Fadavi stressed that the upcoming exercises would be the seventh staging of an annual drill called "The Great Messenger". Fadavi said the next round of wargames would be "different" from previous ones. He did not elaborate. The admiral said the drill would take place in the Iranian month of Bahman, which roughly corresponds to February. The IRGC has the same air, naval and ground branches as the regular military. They are also in charge of Iran's missile program. The Iranian Army's Naval Force also held a 10-day drill which ended on Monday in neighboring seas and the Strait of Hormuz. [/release] Iran is the best international troll of the decade.
Sink a few aircraft carriers and mine it; Whole world fucked.
They try anything and they will be kicked to the curb
Another dickwaving contest. Lets just hope it won't turn into a sword fight.
Says the Australian.
How does that have to do with anything? The Iranians will get their ass kicked if they fuck with the worlds oil supply
we fucked
For coast guard patrol boats those things still look badass, they have fucking missiles strapped to the top of them behind that cover, and a ZIS gun on the front. USA is another scenario.

He was speaking from his point of view therefor implying Australia would somehow defeat Iran. But.. Canadian military > Australian military any day.
I don't get it, I never said Canada could win in Iran. He was speaking from his point of view therefor implying Australia would somehow defeat Iran.
Hurr, maybe that big country top your south will do it :downs: How the fuck did you reason that Australia would go in guns blazing to Iran?
I don't get it, I never said Canada could win in Iran. He was speaking from his point of view therefor implying Australia would somehow defeat Iran.
Canada could easily win against Iran. Let them come instead of going to them. Can't come from the north or south, only two seas which could easily be defended. Australia's an island but half of its really shitty desert. Anyway, I think Irans trying to test their boundaries. It's a dog without a leash seeing how far it can go into the highway before it gets hit
Hurr, maybe that big country top your south will do it :downs:
Have you seen a map of North America before? "Top of your south means Canada, because top of canada's southern country is Canada.
Have you seen a map of North America before? "Top of your south means Canada, because top of canada's southern country is Canada.
It's a typo, it's supposed to say "to" I think you need to look at a map, because there is this big country to your south called the "United States" and they have lots of guns
It's a typo, it's supposed to say "to" I think you need to look at a map, because there is this big country to your south called the "United States" and they have lots of guns
No shit but that isn't what you said.
Aren't the Iranians still flying the F-15's we sold to the Shaah?
So what, let them run their little war games, we do it all the time. They have as much right to practice blockading oil to the US as we have to practice bombing their nuke plants.
Aren't the Iranians still flying the F-15's we sold to the Shaah?
I read somewhere that they are, but they built new jets and captured a ton from Saddam and bought some from Russia and built their own light bomber.
Can we stop using the term "Dick Waving" anytime soon
Can we stop using the term "Dick Waving" anytime soon
Hell nah
Is Iran going delusional and actually under the impression these announcements of theirs intimidate the world in some way? Whoever used to sail there (US carriers too) would most likely continue doing it sooner or later. It's not like they forced everyone out of the Strait of Hormuz with their awesome military mighty-dick of Allah... The carrier left because it... left. I, for one, don't believe Iran has the balls to pull any shit. It'd be suicide. Prolonged suicide.

Is it normal that i read the title as Penis scare at first?
Their territory, their decisions. Get over it America, its provocative but its their legal right. This is a reasonable reaction after American intelligence manipulating and hacking their nuclear program and killing scientists. Hypocrisy at its finest.

Nevermind, he's banned for a month. I'll look for it myself.
Nothing I just find it funny that you're saying that when Iran could definitely kick your ass in a war on their territory. USA is another scenario.
Hahaha lolwat. Australia (being a coalition force) has up to date artillery, aircraft, and all other military tech. I'm not sure about Iran's but let's just say they do too. If both countries could mobilize artillery and aircraft they'd pretty much be at a stalemate, which means infantry comes into play. The Australian infantry, not to mention the SASR and the commandos, is on me of the best trained armies in the world, and best equipped. The SASR and the commandos both are some of the best counter-terrorism/unconventional warfare units in the world (kimda subjective, but whatever). I think a conflict between Iran and Australia would be long drawn out and shitty for everyone, but no one would get kicked to the curb. This doesn't even take into account that the USA, China (because of trade relations (not sure about China's relationship with Iran, though)) which means, if anyone, Iran would get annihilated.
