Because I don't have a penis I went most of my life with no opinion on whether male children should be circumcised or not, but over the years I have become a firm believer in letting a child grow into adulthood before any unnecessary surgical augmentations are made. I've heard too many horrible stories from men who are now fighting western incidents of genital mutilation to ignore the issue. When I asks my female friends for their opinions they all say they would leave the choice to the child's father or closest male relative. My male friends don't want to have the conversation because their penis is best penis. So my question is: If you have/had a son did/would you have him circumcised? If your partner disagreed with you would it be a deal breaker? (I am not putting this in debate because I am not going to argue my point, I'm just interested in what your answers are)
No he just needs to clean that shit. It's supposed to be protective, there's no sense in getting rid of it. Also I would marry the kind of person who'd be logical about it in the way I am.
It doesn't really matter. Your life won't be ruined or be made better because you have an extra few centimeters of skin on your dick.
I say leave it be. Its natural, its not like its something thats hurting the kid. Let him make his decision when he gets older. If my partner had an issue i don;t think i would just let it go and let her do it to my son
I am circumcised and I am pretty sure I'm not going to have my son(s) go through the procedure. If for whatever reason they want too when they are older than maybe but I will not make the decision to have it done.
Dont fuck with somethings that's natural.
i would have my son circumcised for hygiene reasons; i would also get the doctor to amputate his armpits and remove all his teeth, so he doesn't need to clean those either (seeing as cleaning yourself in a developed country is such a hard task)
I read the beginning of the OP as "Because I didn't have a penis most of my life..." Anywho I agree with Trunk. I'm pretty indifferent on the subject.
Sometimes it is necessary when they have phomosis. I did at the age of 3 and I could barely pee it was so tight

To put it a better way, the penis is more prone to contracting diseases than your armpits or teeth.

Surely it would just be easier to hacksaw the arm off.
Doesn't really matter. the doctors just ask at an very early age because its quick and painless. I am and I don't see how a little bit of skin really matters.
but how do you masturbate then
feet
Doesn't really matter. the doctors just ask at an very early age because its quick and painless. "We're going to cut something off that doesn't actually need to be cut off as you live in a developed country with decent cleaning facilities."
In my heritage it is a tradition for when a boy goes into manhood to circumcise himself. So I had to get a ceremonial knife and do it myself. Then I learned it was a deer skinning knife and my uncle Billy is a god damn asshole and now I have a scar that makes my dick look like a smiling cyclops.
I can maybe understand this in developing countries where washing isn't done regularly, but in any developed country why bother? Here we go. Again.
Doesn't really matter. the doctors just ask at an very early age because its quick and painless. It's mostly just easier. [editline]12th December 2011[/editline]
lol to be fair though the other examples you used i.e arm pits and teeth are less sensitive than the penis. It's apparently pain so bad that it drives many people who are normally stable to suicide, after some time.
Another thing to take into account is that babies are circumcised without being given a choice on the matter.
Another thing to take into account is that babies are circumcised without being given a choice on the matter.
Their lack of choice isn't really the problem considering we give them vaccinations against their will, it's more the fact that it's unnecessary and can affect the child negatively in later life.

Male with an uncircumcised penis reporting here. From my observation of penises in pornos (straight porn mind you), circumcised dicks look pretty damn ugly. My opinion anyway.
I was circumcised because of medical reasons when I was at the age of ten. I believe I had some problem with my foreskin (like it was too tight or something, don't remember), but I do remember that after I woke up from surgery, the pain was terrible, like I couldn't wear underwear and shit. And then I had to piss for the first time, and oh my god. The pain went away in three weeks. I don't mind having a circumcised dick because honestly, I don't care.
It's coded into our DNA for a reason, why remove it.

A friend of mine has it and it's a bitch, and it's the only condition where I'm in favor of circumcising because it's the only thing that can't be treated with creams or so.
Ehh, the Coxis is as well but that's useless, and so is the Vermiform appendix.
Why fix that which is not broken?
Why fix that which is not broken?
That I agree with. Hence why you should only circumcise if there's a medical problem, like phimosis, in the same way that we only cut out part of the appendix if there's a health issue. I was just saying that it's not the only useless bit in your body.
People don't have penises?
sorry when i say painless, i mean you're not even going to remember it. its not like i go, man when i was circumcised i remember every single feeling. Studies have shown that the babies remembers it for 24 hours then forgets.
