I don't know about you people, but I'm looking forward to this. Treyarch has always put a lot of work into their games.
Be prepared for "LOL NOPE GAME SUCKS" no matter what.
I'm looking forward for this but still gonna wait a while to see what comes out of it.
They showed some awesome gameplay during an interview on G4.
I like the freedom you get in this game. You get to choose who to play as (Quadrotor, any Black Op, or that tank thing) and what to do (what to attack, where to go).
Well I honestly think it doesn't look that bad at all. It looks way more polished than the previous CoDs I've seen.
Any actual gameplay videos around? With actual gameplay instead of just here and there?
Well, during the MS conference they showed a level.
But other than that and the G4 interview that had a load of on/off gameplay, no.
Kudo's to Treyarch for making an effort rather than just rinse and repeating, but i still hate Activision, so i probably won't get this just to spite them.
What's that?...listen....what's that sound?.........
It's "Ghost Recon Future Soldier" sucking.
Same engine, same game.
Same amount of effort that Activision puts in it's shit for show MW games.
Same engine
So valve uses the source engine for most of their games and upgrades it during releases which include little advancements and you guys get happy over that, but when someone like treyach does that
ohh no, let's all hate on them
god fucking damnit facepunch

I can't youtube this at the moment but if you search up black ops 2 e3 gameplay and find IGN you'll be able to see it.
No thanks.
Treyarch generally do things differently and they seem to be getting bolder with each game they make. first WaW was more story and character-focused than previous games but stayed in WWII, then Black Ops pulled some dark shit and made the player-character have some weird and creepy hallucinations, as well as going into 60's and 70's and having an approprietly darker tone. hopefully they'll keep adding to it until by Black Ops 11 or whatever we'll finally have a CoD game you guys will actually consider looking at without all the melodramatic spitting and inhuman screeching.
It looks really nice but my main concern is are they going to wake up and realize PC gamers aren't really a minority or are they just going to do another crappy port to PC like the last few games?

Besides IWnet in MW2 and MW3 the ports haven't been that bad for me. All ran like a dream and had more graphical customization then most games these days have (Battlefield)

I don't think you understand, they shouldn't be ports at all they should be games programmed with the PC in mind not just reprogrammed to work with the PC.

Well you can say that about practically any game that comes out these days.

As it goes they are better ports then most other ports, atleast in my experience. The only sticking point is lack of dedicated servers but Treyarch games usually have those.

I do say that about all other games, that doesn't give them an excuse.

Yeah, PC players get stiffed on ports. Sorry.
As much as I love and trust Treyarch, I'm going to have to see how this plays out. I want some real multiplayer footage honestly. Afterall, that is what everyone ends up playing anyway.
Every Treyarch CoD game since WaW has been insanely fun. Blops added a whole ton of shit to the game, so when people say LOL SAME GAME just because it has the same basic gameplay as MW did, I really can't take them seriously. This looks really good to me.
looks okay but it's still the same game basically.
I actually want this. Really bad.
My MAIN concern is that they are focusing on E-sports more. Thats fine, but CoD has enough overly competitive a-holes as is. I dont want them to have more excuse to play like a dickhead just to win.
Edit: Oh shit, a city for zombies mode? Count me in

Personally I'm really happy they're going for E-Sports. Hopefully that will mean things will be more skill based and not up to random factors. Then again, this is coming from someone who adores CS and Quake, and is avidly awaiting for ShootMania.
It still looks like the same old "Watch a Cinematic Forever with few moments of gameplay in between" kind of game that they've been pumping out since MW2.
It's just getting sad. The few moments of actual gameplay look genuinely awesome but they are constantly overshadowed by their "cinematic" bullshit that turns a perfectly good game into a Micheal Bay film. It's such a let down because I actually thought this would be different, you know?
Also it's the same old "shoot Russians" game. I thought the robot enemies would be more prominent but NO because that's too hard to script. It also has the same boring "Russia invades America" and/or "Russian Terrorist attack America" plot that these games have had with almost no variation.
I had faith in you Treyarch, yet you have played me for a fool.
Set in the future, yet 3 seconds in the trailer you're riding on cavalry horses to go fight an apache
That's just silly
I MIGHT gonna try it.
I hated MW3. My brother bought it and I've played a total of 1 hour so far.
But this actually looks promising. I probably won't buy it on release day or anything, but who knows. It looks like they put some effort into this one.
They are simply just saying "WOAW LOOK AT ALL THIS COOL SHIT" which is only like 0.01% of the actual game and the rest 99.99% will be just like the previous games, only future stuff.

Lol do you even know what the plot is?

That part takes place in the 1980s.
Also those Strike Force missions look awesome and seem like they'll be very replayable.

Russians are not the bad guys this time. US is in a cold war with China and the main terrorist bad guy is mexican or spanish or something.
