what a ball buster to have a cliffhanger just like hr itself
Pretty decent, some parts where a bit cheesy.
I think it goes to show though with a real budget they could pull of a Deus Ex movie. But it would more or less have to use the actual universe and not focus so much on the Jensen.
Does anyone else think that the aesthetic is really generic?
don't wanna sound harsh but in my opinion that was the definition of style over substance. they kind of just showed you these generic character archetypes and a lot of really cliché things happened and then it was over.
it was pretty alright as an exercise in action cinematography and the costumes and props were quite good for their budget, but speaking as someone who adored DXHR, I didn't really care about the world or any of the characters portrayed in this short.
that's a lot of eye shadow.
That is a fan film if I have ever seen one.
Loved the "I never asked for this."
It was really good for what it was, surprised with the effects honestly. Hope to see more.
Eh. I'm unenthusiastic.

They just haaaad to get that line in somewhere.
the augs were well done
That was really nice. I think they nailed Jensen's look. Was that Fedorova? She looked okay, I'm sure with their budget they couldn't give her those animal legs.

I want Deus Ex: The Gunther Chronicles
A deep, heart wrenching story of our favourite mechanically augmented agent, with his eternal quest for a skul gun, his friendship with Agent Navarre and to not be left as one of those "dinosores for skaring chilldren".
Pretty amazing in terms of visuals.

FUCKING CHRIST
It gave me lemon lime!
Not bad for what it is, though it seems to lack the renaissance style that was present in the game.
I felt like it didn't really have a story at all.
Holy shit... that was actually great.
that was the greatest number of matrix and robocop references in 11 minutes i've ever seen
The enemy guard costumes were really bland. I guess they forgot about the renaissance theme fashion or couldn't bother with it.
Other than that, it was great.
This was also timed perfectly - it released after I finished DXHR:DC yesterday. :v:

That's a shitty makeup job. The upper left portion of her face doesn't have makeup.
at least they put effort into the costumes and effects. i guess the acting isn't that bad either. it's overall pretty good for a 10 minute fan film.
The CGI/FX were pretty good in most areas (for a fan film,) with the exception of when they cloned in-game models for cgi effects near the beginning of the film. Acting and story were non-existant, really. The costumes, well, they were there.
Really it's as turnip said, an exercise in action cinematography.
