Note that cats have been specifically bred not to be domesticated but rather still very feral, they were used as pest control on farms.

what kind of hypochondriac would go to a hospital from a cat scratch?
unless your cat has 6 inch claws made out of solid bone or adamantium They won't do much damage even of they somehow angled themselves all the way in.
even if they have shit on them ..use common sense and try antiseptic.
I don't mean to be rude or sound angry ..i just look around and so many people take up doctors time for silly things when the people with broken bones and internal bleeding get put on hold

My girlfriend's asshole cat bit and dug his nails into my ankle so deep he managed to trip me up on solid concrete and I really hurt my back. You'd be surprised what even little kitties can do sometimes.

Maybe so but even then they're practically a deep pinprick.
it's not like it tears through muscle and creates a deep gash as they just snap off if the cat tries to drag its claws when its too deep.
the only way i can see any danger is if its claws are covered in the shit of an infected animal and your too dense to clean it or if it gets a direct full strength jugular hit.
This rant partially comes from knowing 6 different friends in medicine so i apologize if i seem mad...but fuck..you should hear how stupid humans can be at times.
