So i've noticed a large majority of the decriminalized/legalize discussion is directed at marijuana soley. It seems that also a large majority of them only want marijuana legalized or decriminalized. This sort of pisses me off because several if not all illegal drugs have medicinal use. Quick example hallucinogens help cluster headaches, but there are plenty others. Just wondering what you guys think and or if you have noticed this also. MARIJUANA ELITISM. --Source/links-- http://news.sciencemag.org/sciencenow/2011/06/lsd-alleviates-suicide-headaches.html reliable source ^? (notice this includes all illegal drugs, yes heroin, crack, mdma..etc).
So you want to prove that marijuana is a gateway drug?
i feel really, really bad for people who have cluster headaches i dont think anybody can even imagine the pain they're in :( [editline]18th August 2011[/editline] ps: you aren't gonna legalize psychedelics before you legalize pot
All drugs need to be at least decriminalized.
ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh this was the argument i had at my friend's birthday party. "If you legalize marijuana, why not all other drugs?" We got into this whole thing that stuff like crack and oxycotton would be exceptions because they ruin lives, but then who is to say how i obtain my high, why cant i do this or that drug, legalizing marijuana would open the floodgates to all other drugs, America's society will all become addicts and the world would end. Fucking clusterfuck that became. Weed maybe the only one legalized because of its relative safety and huge following. It also has medicinal values that work for MANY different diseases since it softens pain. However other stuff like the drugs you mentioned on the op, only work for specific things so i doubt it will ever be legalized. Maybe at most allowed in strictly hospital use.
Buy some whip cream crackers if you have such a bad problem. Also many illegal drugs havent undergone any significant testing. I would be the first to advocate that, but for example painkillers like oxycodone will "always" be prescription because of their potential for abuse and the small ratio between their ud50 (think its ud?) and ld50. Also I dont see how you see anyone discussing legalization is "arrogant". Its just that marijuana has a much better chance to be legalized than anything else. In fact, I dont see how arrogant would even apply, nobody is saying that theyre better than anyone else.
I think by arrogant he means those "420 all day every day" teens that think weed is the best thing in the world, and show it by plastering the phrases "420" and "kush" all over stuff like online games, forums, etc. And they also brag about smoking weed and look down on those who don't smoke
to be honest, this thread doesnt make a lick of sense.
this thread is bullshit
I'm just asking why a majority of marijuana users i've encountered atleast, only want or openly advocate marijuana instead of the countless other illegal substances with the same value. By arrogant I was talking about the ever so common stoner who roams the fucking world finding any other drug and then tells you how that's horrible and weed is flawless and superior.

Yea I hardly know anyone who is a stoner and doesn't like other drugs.
i feel really, really bad for people who have cluster headaches i dont think anybody can even imagine the pain they're in :(
It hurts. :(
So you want to prove that marijuana is a gateway drug?
Its a gateway to the fridge.
By arrogant I was talking about the ever so common stoner who roams the fucking world finding any other drug and then tells you how that's horrible and weed is flawless and superior.
never met or read someone doing this
..Because marijuana doesn't make you permanently see shit or cause neurons to connect that shouldn't.
..Because marijuana doesn't make you permanently see shit or cause neurons to connect that shouldn't.
There are variations of LSD that don't cause hallucinations but still cure those headaches yet its still illegal.
The criminalization of drugs relies too heavily upon the old idea that people can't think for themselves. I think we'd be able to weed out(hurr hurr) the people who still can't think for themselves in a hurry if drugs were legalized. They'd all OD and the only ones left would be the ones with self-control.
Because marijuana is awesome and no one dies from it.
..Because marijuana doesn't make you permanently see shit or cause neurons to connect that shouldn't.
Define and justify your "shouldn't". Otherwise, if your "healthy neurons" aren't capable of this task, don't prescribe what's good or bad for people.
which would b a good thing tbh. call me harsh but theres just too much ppl on the workd and too little resources.
Pretty sure not that many people would turn to hard drugs just because they are legal
true but the majority of ppl dont think that way and think ppl will do meth when its legal
I think that simply legalizing all drugs is a really bad idea. There has to be some sort of regulation/restriction. Too many stupid people out there.
I think that simply legalizing all drugs is a really bad idea. There has to be some sort of regulation/restriction. Then you will have to pay per month for your license. When you buy drugs it will be registered on a system and if you start buying addictive/harmful drugs regulary someone will come and offer you rehab which will be free as it is payed for by everyone paying their drug license fee's. If you become addicted and have to go to rehab for the same drug twice you will be banned from having that drug anymore.

I can understand stuff like coke being illegal, but face it, if every recreational drug was legalized there would be tons of stupid shit going on, even if there are people who can enjoy them responsibly.
coke is avalible at ur local streetcorner dealer rite now. id rather have people buy it at a local pharmacy and recieve 1 dose max & get registered.
