This concept was originally revealed in leaked e-mails last year, and Lord more recently indicated that he was still pursuing the idea.It is unclear whether or not Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones or Josh Brolin would reprise their Men in Black roles for the film. The report speculates that Dakota Johnson could return for the female-driven Jump Street, since she already played an officer in the original film. It also suggests Aniello and Downs could farm female talent from Comedy Central, including cast members from Broad City. Sony has also made plans to make a Ghostbusters movie with a similarly female-driven cast.
crazy enough to work
I love Broad City, but somehow i don't feel great about this
I love Broad City, but somehow i don't feel great about this
Nobody feels good about this.
Wait so the men in black email that was leaked actually happened? I remember when the sony leak happened and the email from jonah hill said something retarded like "I think a MIB crossover with 21 jump street would be hip, rad, and fresh" but we all thought he was just making a fool of himself and no one would take it seriously :v:
it was all true
Oh... Ohhhh no
Did they take the end credits scene as a suggestion?
Oh my god the leaked email was true after all. Holy shit Sony is fucking crazy, and not in the good way.
omg stop it sony, diversity is not hamfisting tight-cast actors into roles. ghostbusters was a start of this, but cmon
omg stop it sony, diversity is not hamfisting tight-cast actors into roles.
Did you mean Type-cast? Also I have no problem with this if Lord & Miller are involved in any way.
jump street merging with mib i think that’s clean and rad and powerful.
Real talk: a MIB crossover sounds like the logical extension to Jump Street's meta-commentary on movies. Think about it- it started with reboots, then unnecessary comedy sequels, and now they're going for shared universes. If Lord and Miller are working on it, I'm happy.
If Lord and Miller are working on it, I'm happy.
Yeah I don't think it can be under-stated how fucking talented those two are. They can make it work. But only if they're the writers and directors for it, which I'm uncertain about since they've just signed on to do a spiderman animated movie now. They fucking better do it fuck sake, otherwise it is gonna suck.
I love Broad City, but somehow i don't feel great about this
I dunno, if Ilana Glazer is in it I think it would work

The Female MC one sounds cool. The...crossover sounds like it belongs on fanfiction.net.
They're producing/developing the Spiderman animated movie. Not sure if they're directing/writing it.
They're writing and producing it, and their status as directors is unconfirmed. However, so far they've never passed on directing something that they wrote themselves, so I'd say it's most likely gonna happen. Hopefully it won't interfere with the MIB/21 cross over, but animated movies can take a LOOONG time. Maybe this will happen before the spiderman movie, who knows.
I try to avoid watching remakes because they are mostly just done for money grabs and lack the soul of the movies they are based on. But is 21 Jump Street actually good?
I try to avoid watching remakes because they are mostly just done for money grabs and lack the soul of the movies they are based on. But is 21 Jump Street actually good?
It's pretty dam good, easily one of the best comedies in a while. They're pretty self aware about the of the reboot/remake thing and they joke about it often. [editline]30th April 2015[/editline] If they do do the MiB crossover(which I desperately want) I want Smith and Jones to have cameos ala Depp and DeLuise's cameo in 21 at most.
the concept is strong enough that I'd be interested in seeing a female driven version. The MIB thing sounds a bit more out there, will have to wait and see on that one
Cross over with this would of been great [img_thumb]http://resizing.flixster.com/l1QY1MF5_IKm1j8jx7VeW2oRxwU=/800x1200/dkpu1ddg7pbsk.cloudfront.net/movie/11/16/94/11169445_ori.jpg[/img_thumb]
So bassicly 23rd jump street and 24th jump street. But where is 25th sesame street?
I still remember my favorite scene being when they walk to the new church and were like "it's really convenient they were building this across the street". Then they leave the new church and you see next to it is a third one under construction that says 23 Jump Street.
i really should rewatch 21 jump street and then watch 22
