So, here we post our tattoos and talk about our tattoo ideas.
I don't have any tattoos yet, but I want to get Buzz lightyear on my right breast (because toy story was a big part of my childhood) and Finn, Jake and Marceline from Adventure time on my leg somewhere. (because I really like adventure time)
Tips and info
DON'T REMOVE YOUR INFECTED PIERCINGS.
1. Go to the website of the shop, take a look at the portfolio and (if available) photos from the inside of the shop.
- Do the shop-owned flashes look good?
- How are the tattoos on the pictures?
- Are the lines sharp, clean and even?
- Are the colors bright and even?
- Does the shop offer the style you want for your tattoo?
- And (if available) does the shop look clean, does the artist wear gloves while tattooing?
2. Try to get opinions from other customers, e.g. forums and stuff.
- Were they satisfied with their art?
- Were they treated nicely and given good information?
- In case of problems, have they gotten any help?
3. Visit the shop, explain them what you want, and that you have questions.
- Does the shop "feel" right? Is it clean, without pets running around and without plants in the tattooing room?
- Is the artist nice and friendly, and tries to find what YOU want?
- Is he able to say "no" when a dream is absurd/out of his possibilities?
- If you have any questions regarding your tattoo, is he able to answer them in a way you can comprehend it?
Other tips:
- Price shouldn't matter, the same goes for the distance. If you don't have a nice artist near you, travel a bit and find the one who matches your interest, even if he ain't cheap.
Remember: You have that motive on you for the rest of your life, so your body should be worth it.
- Most important is the cleanliness. There should be no dogs/plants, because they prevent the air from being sterile, and sure you don't want hair or pollen in a fresh wound, do you? Also the artist should wear gloves (ideally a mask too, due to hair/spit), desinfect his hands and clean the bench/chair/whatever before tattooing you. Priority goes to the tattoo gun. He should use a new needle after every customer to prevent diseases like hepatitis and AIDS from customers before.
- You should get a good guidance before tattooing you, like how to care for the tattoo during healing and such. He should give you a sheet were it is explained too, so you can easily take a look at it and remember it. he should offer you the opportunity to call him whenever you have a problem.
-Look at the artist portofolio.

Get AИDY tattooed on your foot
Since we have a new OP now by an active user, maybe we could include something like tips and advices for tattoos (and maybe piercings since that came up in the old thread quite often as well)? Like what to look for when searching for a good artist, healing tips and the like.

Get Brad tattooed on your arm pit.

you mean 15 hours... good job, also all of it, well i want to change the tentacle things to something a little more trible but pretty much the same

I would suggest you getting something more personalized. Bring the image to your artist and let him or her use it as a source of inspiration but don't go for "pretty much the same". With a design this unique, copying it won't be as satisfying as having a piece you can truly call your own.
And for some reason I can really picture that tattoo in colour.

I mean months
And oh you just want his tattoo
Don't do it
How much does it hurt to get a tattoo just below the clavicle? The skin's pretty thin there so it must be rather painful.

i like it man, and its a new thread.

it's pretty shitty to copy someone else's tattoo. most people would be insulted if you copied something original that they have and most tattoo artists wouldn't even do it. tattoos are supposed to mean something for you and it's just lazy and rude to copy someone else's art instead of coming up with your own.
How much does it hurt to get a tattoo just below the clavicle? The skin's pretty thin there so it must be rather painful.
Surprisingly little, one of my tattoos starts from around the clavicle and goes down to the side of the nipple and I can safely say the part that hurt the least was the area around/directly under the clavicle. Obviously it is going to hurt, there is no sugar coating it, but it is not an unbearable or immense amount of pain.
Everyone (myself included) assumes thin skin/area over the bone equals massive pain, but it is all dependent on the nerve density. The area around the breast for example was unquestionably the most painful experience I've had (to be perfectly honest I haven't had many painful experiences, no broken bones, only one laceration that required stitches so I don't have much to compare it with). Since the breast is an erogenous zone it is chock full of nerve endings so it is much more painful to get tattooed over.
Another interesting thing was how the relative lack of nerve density coupled with pain really screws up your perception of touch and pressure. While getting tattooed, whenever I closed my eyes for a minute or so, I always felt that the artist moved downwards, almost as low as my breast, but after opening them I was always surprised to see he was still working around the clavicle.

do you know what plagiarism is?
same concept, you're stealing someone else's idea.
Anyone ever gotten or done a henna? How do they stand up to water? How long to they last? Do they itch and shit?
I like Joe Rogan's tattoos. He saw the images in his visions while tripping on DMT.

yeah im over it
Anyone ever gotten or done a henna? How do they stand up to water? How long to they last? Do they itch and shit?
i've gotten henna a couple times, it's not impacted much by water as far as i know
they last a week or two, and they don't itch at all, all it does is dye your skin
the longer you keep the dried crust on, the longer the henna tat itself will last
yeah im over it
Hahaha wow
I got this done feb 21st, 4 days after my 18th birthday.
Made my fair share of mistakes, and learned from (most) them, i chose out the phoenix because its basically a symbol of a second chance for me, regardless of where im at in life, if I'm not happy with something, or how I am, I can change. Its holding a rose, which i got as a symbol of love, because with love of a family or friend you can basically get through anything. Theres blood dripping off the rose, which i put in for my family. Blood, bloodlines, yknow. Hes holding the rose with the thorns piercing him, because if you want something, you gotta take it. Even if its gonna hurt, or its gonna be hard, just push through and get what you want.
Sun and the moon is there just for time representation, no matter what age i am, if i want something, ill still get it.

And while we're reposting shit from V1, zydos, you don't live in australia do you?

Got my writing down my arm today, it looks better in person and I'm quite happy with it. Looks much sharper than when my mum originally wrote the phrase out on paper too, I'd been worried about how it would transfer but the artist did a good job making it bolder.
I think I want the next piece I get to be something really pretty just because. Thinking an owl design on my lower back, but not for a good while yet, just going to collect photos and styles that I like for now to gather up an idea of what I'd like to have then eventually take them to the artist to draw up a design.
what does that say/mean?
what does that say/mean?
If I remember right it say 'You will be the death of me'
