http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/7801662.stm
Israel has bombed supply tunnels in the southern Gaza Strip in a second day of intense air raids aimed at forcing Hamas militants to halt rocket fire. Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni says the operation has been a success so far and the aim is to "change realities on the ground" in Gaza. Israel has threatened to launch a ground assault and is now calling up 6,500 army reservists. Palestinians say at least 280 people have died in the air raids. A major tunnel bringing fuel into Gaza from Egypt was among three destroyed, Palestinians say. But Israel says its jets bombed more than 40 tunnels. Israel accuses Palestinian militants of using the tunnels to smuggle weapons into Gaza. As jets pounded the southern Gaza Strip hundreds of Palestinians stormed over a fence on the Gaza-Egypt border, but Egyptian security forces fired shots to prevent them entering. An Egyptian security official was shot dead and another wounded in the turmoil which followed.
Holy shit, this is intensifying.
Hopefully this won't last long, what are they fighting over?
Noob Israel, go on foot and fight like a real man, don't be pussies and use planes.
Hopefully this won't last long, what are they fighting over?
land, and the resources that come with it
Hopefully this won't last long, what are they fighting over?
Hamas fired a bunch of rockets into Israel a few days ago, killed a bunch of civilians. Israel is now retaliating and attacking strongholds of Hamas and their militants. Oh and in before "jew"
Israel isn't fighting over Resources really more annoyed at HAMAS and the people in Gaza shooting them.
Israel isn't fighting over Resources really more annoyed at HAMAS and the people in Gaza shooting them.
Know what's more annoying? Civilians caught in the crossfire because Israel's oh-so subtle anti-terrorism methods.
Know what's more annoying? Civilians caught in the crossfire because Israel's oh-so subtle anti-terrorism methods.
Yeah I guess the thousands of rockets hamas has fired at isreili civilians from gaza civilian positions (as in using them as shields) is fine.
Yeah, so lets do the same to the inhabitants of the Gaza strip! How about we don't try to do something logical like actually fund and anti-terrorist cells, special operations, or something less blunt than firing missiles at a city and hoping everything ends up alright. I'm sure you think it's okay to destroy a country's infrastructure which probably costs billions of dollars to repair just to stop suspected militants from getting their supplies.
Maybe I should change my prediction on predictify
Hopefully this won't last long, what are they fighting over?
The same thing they've been fighting over since 1948. Basically the muslims don't want the jews to have their own country. Atleast that's how it started, the fuck do I know?

It's perfectly logical to bomb the fuckers into submission until they stop. The civilians support hamas and sure didn't object to them firing missiles out of their gardens, why should they get any sympathy.
You do understand the difference between Hamas and the average citizen who gets blown apart on the street right? And you do understand that Palestine has every reason to have a deep hatred for Israel too right? I'm not condoning the actions of either party, I'm not condoning the retarded use of large area of effect weapons on people who aren't involved. Fuck israel.

Also The region that Israel is in was a barren wasteland when they got there, no one wanted it, In the 60 years of Israel being there they have made it flourish and now everyone wants it. There has never been a state of Palestine and the people of Palestine also have roots in Jordan, why won't they take it the Palestinians in, why won't anyone else, because they don't care about them they just care about destroying Israel and use them to do it.
1. Look up why the "arabs were trying to kil them" 2. No it wasn't 3. Look up Imperialism Well actually here
The Arabs not only rejected the UN Partition Plan, but attacked Israel from all sides. On the day that Israel declared its independence, the Arab League Secretary, General Azzam Pasha declared "jihad", a holy war. He said, "This will be a war of extermination and a momentous massacre which will be spoken of like the Mongolian massacres and the Crusades".(1) The Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin Al Husseini stated, "I declare a holy war, my Moslem brothers! Murder the Jews! Murder them all!" (2) The armies of Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Egypt and Iraq invaded the tiny new country with the declared intent of destroying it.(3) It was not Israel who ruined the Palestinians chance for a state it was the Arabs thirst to destroy Israel which lead to Israel taking more land in the war.

They rejected it because the introduction of the jews into the equation broke pre-existing treaties that they'd recieve all of their former homeland. The Jews hadn't called that area their homeland for quite a while, why the fuck do you think they called a holy war on them? Here you go http://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Anglo-French_Declaration In a way, you can consider the whole Zionism movement a holy war.

This should be common sense. And Jordan took in thousands of Palestinians, learn what you're talking about. These people have been living there for centuries, to assume they would be fine with being thrown out of their homes and having their villages bulldozed is asinine.
Israel is run by dicks. Palestine is also run by dicks. Shitfuckers.
This is so disproportionate, so many civilians are dying... Also Itchybarracuda I think it's funny that you complain about dead Israeli civilians. How about you tell everyone how many Palestinian civilians have died since 2000? Why shouldn't Hamas fire rockets against Israel when the Palestinians are caged off in what are basically concentration camps? Do you honestly think that Israel will ever treat the Palestinians with at least a basic amount of dignity and respect for their sovereignty? Dead civilians are always terrible, but Israel's response is anything but measured and responsible.
Know what's more annoying? Civilians caught in the crossfire because Israel's oh-so subtle anti-terrorism methods.
Know what's even MORE annoying? Hamas suicide bombing buses and killing children.
haha shut the fuck up http://www.ifamericansknew.org/ http://www.rememberthesechildren.org/remember2008.html
First off, stop flamming. Second, I'm not American. Third, the source only has about 60 or so deaths cataloged. It's as biased as I could think. The statistics are baseless claims.
maybe you should go to the top and select a different year and yes, the death statistics of Israeli children vs Palestinian children are exclusive to Americans great deflection BRO clearly a measured, responsible approach on Israel's part
I know I would be pretty mad if someone started bombing my citizens.
mad enough to trade 277 Palestinian lives for half a dozen Israelis
maybe you should go to the top and select a different year and yes, the death statistics of Israeli children vs Palestinian children are exclusive to Americans great deflection BRO
That's all the years.
That's all the years.
what's your point are you saying dead children pre-2008 don't count? You said only 60 so deaths were documented and hoo boy you're missing the fact that it was only for 2008. But thankfully children in 2007 aren't as important. There's absolutely 0 reason to support Israel's actions. Even if you condemn Hamas, you have to condemn Israel for a grossly disproportionate response to the missile "escalations" (how many civilians die to Palestinian missiles compared to Israeli missiles?). Plus, anyone with half a soul would condemn Israel's blockade of Gaza and the ghetto-conditions. Forcing Gazans to make bread out of livestock feed is for their own protection, right?
