Cartoon Network was originally launched on Thursday, October 1, 1992, after Turner purchased the animation studio Hanna-Barbera Productions in 1991.
Served as a 24-hour outlet for classic animation properties from the Turner Broadcasting libraries and is mainly youth-oriented, but shares channel space
with a late-night adult oriented channel programming block called Adult Swim (USA) and TCM in other countries. Space Ghost Coast to Coast premiered on
April 15, 1994 on Cartoon Network. Though originally intended to cater to a wide audience of children, teens, and adults, Space Ghost Coast to Coast
became more offbeat and edgy in its direction, and transformed into the launchpad for what would become the Adult Swim network. Hanna-Barbera shows
would be featured, like The Moxy Show, which was the first show.(Without counting the Space Ghost Coast to Coast) Many fans claim that the show is
not Cartoon Network's first Original Series due to the fact that it features classic animation. They believe that Space Ghost Coast to Coast was the first
original CN show. 7 minutes show would be aired too, such as Cow and Chicken and Johnny Bravo. These would would be aired as full time shows in 1997.
What-a-Cartoon was also featured in 1995 on Cartoon Network, being a device to see which shows that got popular, such as Dexter's Lab, Cow and Chicken
and Powerpuff Girls. In April 1996, the first Cartoon Network original (Cartoon Cartoons) was aired as a full time episode (22 minutes), Dexter's Laboratory.
It was also featured in What-a-Cartoon(First in 1989). In 1997 shows such as the Cow and Chicken, (Including I.M Weasel) Johnny Bravo would air.
In 1998, McCracken show, Powerpuff girls got aired. In 2005, the series got counter-tracked to anime, which to feature in Japan. He was also director on
Dexter's Lab, along with MacFarlane and the creator of the show, Genndy Tartakovsky. He would later make the "Samurai Jack" series that aired in 2001 on
Cartoon Network. Ed,Edd and Eddy aired on Cartoon Network 1999 along with Courage the Cowardly Dog.
So, That was Cartoon Network (1992 - 1999) in 15 Lines (With some spin offs)
Now, Lets talk about Cartoon Network.
I have made a poll, to see what program that people loved the most. If your favorite show isn't on the list, rate the program you enjoyed the most. I can feature all programs.
So, What are you memory with cartoon Network, or didn't you have it at all? Did you watch it over at your friends or aunts?
I regret not watching Cartoon Network that much when I was younger. When I did watch it I would usually watch Ed, Edd & Eddy and Powerpuff Girls, along with some Dexter's Laboratory and Courage. I didn't really enjoy most of the other shows that much though.
I did see bits of other ones like Johnny Bravo and thought it was great, but Nickelodeon seemed to lure me in the most back then.
How did you not add Johnny Bravo to the poll?
Otherwise I vote for Cow and Chicken.
Ed, Edd and Eddy all the way. Was my favorite cartoon of all time.
It was a hard choice but I picked Foster's Home. I still loved dexter + ed edd and eddy.
I hated Mucha Lucha.
Dexter's Lab and Foster's, but I chose Dexter in the poll.
I liked them all. Cartoons were so good back then. Now most of the new stuff is shit.

Adventure Time and Regular Show would like a word
Where is Amazing World of Gumball? :(
How did you not add Johnny Bravo to the poll?

Damn, I forgot to include Johnny Bravo and Courage the Cowardly Dog.

I liked Camp Lazlo.
I liked Camp Lazlo.
I guess somebody had to.
I am sad to say I could not get Cartoon Network where I was from. I had to watch shitty Teletoon when I was young.
In the poll I chose Dexter but how could you not add Samurai Jack there. Or Batman TAS???

I wish i could choose multiples because i like a few of them for different reasons. I had to go with foster's home because of it's creativity.
Landslide vote. Sad there is no Johnny Bravo though. I ALWAYS watch the Christmas special.

i think it would be different story if you add Johnny Bravo and Samurai Jack to it. Jack was fucking badass
Cow & Chicken, though I probably watched Ed, Edd & Eddy more because it was on more often.

FHIF and courage me and my brother watch now and they are fucking awesome.
Just the old ones? Ah, the old ones were great, though. Nowadays, the stuff they have on there is either terrible or really, really awesome.
cartoon network went to shit now but back when i was younger it was the shit i used to watch johnny bravo ed edd n eddy, and toonami when it used to be on the network
I love how sarcastic Bloo is.
Not voting because Samurai Jack isn't an option.
I liked TGAOB&M, FHFIF, and Dexter's Lab.
Get Camp Lazo and Mucha Lucha out of there. Courage the Cowardly Dog and Samurai Jack deserve to be in that list a lot more. :colbert:
Fosters home definitely had touching moments, which most shows should.
How do you not have Adventure Time? This doesn't just have to be pure nostalgia.
How do you not have Adventure Time? This doesn't just have to be pure nostalgia.
then you might as well ad regular show, the 2 good shows on CN today.
I really fucking miss the old shows. Courage - Ed, Edd, & Eddy - Bravo - Fosters - Grim Adventures - Powerpuff - Dexter - even the old Nickelodeon shows like Invader Zim, All That.
Before you whine, I added dashes because the commas in the Ed, Edd, & Eddy one.
