As a fan of the comics I'm really looking forward to this, and it's getting very positive early reviews as well.
Totally seeing this at the new giant screen Imax in Birmingham.
Steven Spielberg + Peter Jackson = Sex
It looks like Indiana Jones had sex with Pixar and then that baby had sex with Dreamworks to make the most awesome CGI movie ever.
I loved watching the cartoon as a kid.
The name tintin sounds very familiar. and that dog and the hair+shirt
Man, I grew up on Tintin, this is gonna be sweet. Also, leaked footage: (Just kidding)
Good god look at the quality of that cgi, wonder how much that cost to make.
The budget is apparently around $130 millions.
I really loved tintin books as a kid. They were scarily real, but yet set in complete fiction. I'm talking about the charakters and the way they act. Not too exaggerated, based on specific archetypes, yet satirical. I sure hope this doesn't get lost in all the slapstick, action and bloating of herges storyline. I mean, was it necissary to replace the promise of treasure, history and rum on the shipwreck, wich turns out as a search for identity for the cast with some mysterious, powerfull artefact? I am sceptical, yet curious.
Can't wait.
this is going to be so fucking good holy shit
Tintin is a badass, but only on occasion. I hope the entire film isn't as ridiculously OTT as the trailer makes it seem. That said this looks stunningly fucking good and I'm going to see it as soon as I can. I really, really hope they used the theme from the TV series at some point, but there's been no mention of it - however, it'd be so great if they were deliberately keeping a lid on it until the film's released.
Kuifje!
If it wasn't for the faces, I could've been fooled into thinking this was live action.
Oh man this scene cracked me up :v: so much potential.
Never read tintin or watched the cartoon, just knew of this by reputation, but this shit's actually darker than I expected. Looks amazing in general.
Read each comic at least five times, I can tell this is going to be good.
This kind of has the creepy Mars needs moms, Polar Express kind of realism...but it also kind of doesn't. So...I don't know how this will go down.
I saw Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson and nearly creamed myself.

I suck at editing gifs..
Is that the "haha, oh wow" guy?
Yes, yes it is.
Simon pegg + Nick frost is in it aswell.
Seeing it mostly for Edgar Wright's doing. This also seems incredibly mature for a nickleodeon movie.
Holy shit, that animation looks abnormally realistic. Albeit cartoony, it's just....wow.
I've never read a Tintin comic, well, maybe few strips but it was so little I don't remember a thing about it. Just that the setting was in India or something similar. But I know these two characters exist plus the dog. What's important the movie looks absolutely beautiful and the last scene in the trailer looked awesome as hell.
Wow, didn't knew this was outside belgium / netherlands. Always thought it was just a dutch comic but i just searched it and it's from belgium, almost same language.
