EDIT: Just to confirm, these are going to be in game graphics - Telltale updated their engine and it's going to be used for all future Telltale titles starting with Batman and Walking Dead Season 3. EDIT 2: Replaced the IGN video with one directly from Telltale's channel at 60 FPS/1080P EDIT 3: Here is the IGN Interview where they talk about the Season 3 Reveal and Batman EDIT 4: Another short IGN interview. Your Season 2 ending determines if Clem is missing a finger, as well as her well being, appearance, etc
So how old do you suppose Clementine is in this one? Because I assume this will be set around the same time as Rick Grimes is in A New Beginning.
Early teens apparently. So maybe 15-16ish. Which would mean it's been 7-8years since the beginning.
It looks like she lost a finger at some point. Wonder what the story is there? Anyway, I remember hearing somewhere we won't be playing as her, so maybe we're playing as the guy instead? There's also the question of how they're picking the story up from S2's ending. There's a lot of different places Clem could have ended up at the end of S2, and it would be kind of an asspull if they all brought her to the same place and position in S3.

Fucking finally, a pistol model that isn't a Glock 17.
just really really hope this game improves off of season 2. season 2 wasn't that bad, but to me I found it way less enjoyable over season 1. I loved season 1, and do enjoy the TTG Walking Dead franchise, so I'm really hoping season 3 improves off of some of the blunders in season 2.
There was alot of detail on that walker. I hope they will update the models, as they weren't the best in the previous games. Also Clems all grown up
How the hell are there still Walkers around? I thought it was established in the walking dead they go docile when they starve.

The zombie and the dude with Clem have similar tattoos. The one in his neck is similar to the one on the zombie's back. Probably has something to do with it being "marked."
The zombie and the dude with Clem have similar tattoos. The one in his neck is similar to the one on the zombie's back.
they actually did it the madmen they updated the engine
tbh I can't really tell other than the dynamic shadows
tbh I can't really tell other than the dynamic shadows
Character models are more detailed, textures are higher resolution, there are new lighting/shading effects, etc. I had trouble telling from the Batman screenshots at first, but compare the Season 3 trailer to a screenshot from Season 1 or Season 2 and it will become more obvious. Mentally comparing it to the older games really helps if you watch the Season 3 trailer with that in mind.
It's just easier to tell they updated when things are in Motion
It's just easier to tell they updated when things are in Motion
If you watch in HD, you can also tell they added a lot of subtle touches as well - for example, all the characters (including the Walker) have really subtle hair physics if you watch closely.
How the hell are there still Walkers around? I thought it was established in the walking dead they go docile when they starve.
[sp]My guess, the zombies have found small animals (i.e. - The Rabbit from Season 1 Episode 2 or a small puppy from 400 Days ) or other off screen characters to munch on.[/sp] edit [sp]Another theory could be that deceased walkers are also eaten as well, albiet not so fulfilling but sustainable.[/sp]
I'm wondering how far in the timeline this is. It's going to be really interesting if it's around the curren time in the comics
I'm wondering how far in the timeline this is. It's going to be really interesting if it's around the curren time in the comics
they said up to the current timeline of the comics, so around 7-8 years
Edited the thread to have the uploaded video from Telltale at 60FPS/1080P

Here is the IGN E3 Interview where they talk about Batman and the Season 3 Reveal for 20 minutes
Is it just me or does Clem look at lot more black this time around? I meant I couldn't care less, just an observation.

Could be both. We'll have to wait for actual screens to better tell. They said to expect more info on Season 3 and Batman around Comic Con towards the end of July, so hopefully then!
That guy has the Cuban flag on his shirt. Or Puerto Rico
they actually did it the madmen they updated the engine
Too bad the animations are still garbage. [editline]13th June 2016[/editline] Actually I'm being too harsh on them, there's a massive improvement since Season 2. Still though. It looks like their animators haven't found the curve editor yet.
