All done in Photoshop CS4. It took around 3-4 hours to make, but that was also partly because of breaks/distractions.
I could really use some good criticism. I'm trying to improve my digital, abstract work.
I really....really!!! like this .. omg how did you make this? is it all done by you???
The "red" is to bright i think...
And the ground is fadeing to much into the sky i think....
Ground is nice, logo is nice, colors contrast is nice. But I don't like the rain too much.
Try fixing the rain and its awesome.
Well, the ground was supposed to fade away, so to not distract from the centerpiece.
And yes, it's all done by me.
And last, the rain was a rather quick one. I'm looking for a way to create more realistic rain-fall. I've already got an edited version of this image, where the rain hits the logo and creates a water-vapour around the edges it hits. Now just for the diagonal lines.
Problem with the rain is that the strokes are too long and too crowded, need to try and make it less dense, maybe go for an alternative method rather than using the wind filter (I am guessing thats what you were using anyways). Otherwise though very nice.
Nice one SweetSwifter.
Looks great! :)
Neat.
Looks great..I wish I had a wallpaper kind a like this..maybe not with the three colors just red but with a different name on it..but yah..Damn that's nice.
I'll take one request to do another one of these, with someone elses word/colours. :3 I'm bored today anyway.
Thanks for all the great input guys. Oh, and sharpshooter, I made the rain effect by taking a new layer, manually filling it with black, then rendering out 26% of Gaussian, Monochromatic noise onto it. I then used the Levels adjustment to filter out the density, then used Motion blurring + copying the layer and merging it several times to get this effect. I guess I didn't use Levels enough, because it's still too dense.
Can you do one like this but with the word: CHICHEN (it's my name on steam) red instead of the three colors...and possibly a different font...I don't know..just too bubbly for me.
It would be awesome if you could do this
oh and 1680x1050
What sort of font would you want then?
Hmm..gimme a minute..I'll look through some stuff.

Tried to fix up the rain, made more of an impact splatter on the logo itself although I'm not entirely happy with how that came out.
This image was started from scratch, due to the other file being flattened, and the original layers being bland and whatnot.

Also, original size of that was 6000x4000, 700DPI, because I want to print it. Already switched to CMYK, fixed up the colours, and will send it to the printing shop in a moment. :3:
The rain looks much better..Trying to remember the name of a font..can't really describe it and I can't find it in word...
[editline]01:33AM[/editline]
oh well just use Haettenschweiler
I can't remember the name of the old one
[editline]01:36AM[/editline]
anyway. Going to bed. Can't wait to see it later. Thanks for actually taking my request!
Would honestly have preferred something else over 'Nameless'. Other than that, good job I guess.
Yea that tutorial did the trick.. might say you used it.
Second one is way better.
But you still have to fix the rain's depth and the splashes on the letters. It should not be hard.
Woah, the second one's beautiful.
Request for Murdoco.

Make the rain not fall at the same angle always, it looks weird, at different depths there would be different wind speeds, therefore rain would not fall at a uniform angle as it does in your pictures, I think if you fix that it would be much better.
Is there any chance you can make the color of the background more like the one of the second one (the upgraded version of your original)? This one is really..Purple...It's really good I just don't like purple that much..
[editline]02:48PM[/editline]
(doesn't have to be exactly the same colors as your other one..I just liked the other ones background colors more)
Yeah, sure. I still have the Color Balance on a separate layer.
okay cool thanks.
Hey just wondering how long do these take you to do total? I mean the original. I understand the others are just edits.
Oh and are you still working on editing mine?
I start every image from scratch. I don't edit a previous one. They take about 1-2,5 hours to do.
I'll upload your edit now.
Much better. Love it. Thank you!

also good night..It's 3am here and I'm going to get some sleep.
You're welcome. I think I'm now going to experiment mixing 3D blocks and shapes into this style.
At least then I could use reflection maps to make the road texture/reflection more realistic.
One suggestion would be to fix the sides of the boxes and everything. They are jagged..try smooth it out on your next try of whatever you do. Mine is fine as it is though. I really like it.
