Yes, yes they did.

Heaven forbid the little plastic tab on the end breaks off. They'd have to lay down a new wire! :byodood:
It's a fiber-optic cable... Not a wire... Wire is metal like copper or other... Fiber is Diode like Plastic or glass, or other... Light is not electricity...
Benjamin Franklin smite you...

Why... Not?
:sigh:
I almost feel like I could rent a boat and run it over, taking out all of Cuba's Internet.
i'd be really happy if i were a cuban internet user right now.
And their internet will most likely be faster than mine. :smith:
why do we still have an embargo anyway
it's a byproduct of the missle crisis
10 bucks says the cable will be broken within a week.

the rest of the world has cables too, which boats have hit before
This whole embargo with Cuba pisses me off. When a world power is holding back a 3rd world nation there is something wrong.
Yeah.... how about we just be nice and lift off the embargo
There's no longer a reason for it to exist now that the cold war is over, even if castro isn't the peachiest of world dictactors (though I wouldn't consider him the worst).

they could just cut a bit off the cable and crimp in a new head :v:

We did that in out basic, shitty computer science course.
Was kinda fun too :buddy:
When I was in Cuba it took 3 mins for a page to load

Despite the fact that it's been under a the boot of 2 horrible dictators, it's our fault. I can see the reasoning behind that.

I still don't exactly trust them. They said the missiles weren't in the silos, they were.
Good enough reason for me.
If the fish ever plot to take over the world they will strike our underwater cables first! We need guards!

I got severely affected in the Alexandria incident (Bahrain). Couldn’t play any online games at all since I always got kicked for extremely high ping.

They sunk it of course

You could except it would do nothing because the cable is at the bottom of the ocean
Could go dragging some hardcore anchors along the ocean floor in an attempt to cut several of the world's main internet connections.
