My math teacher taught me this earlier today and I thought this was interesting, seeing that everyone around me have horrible credit and can't really up it.
Borrow 2000 dollars from somebody
Open a savings account, place this money in it.
Take out a loan for 2000 dollars, when they ask for history to take out the loan, say you have 2000 in your savings account and they will surely give it to you
Return the money you took out on the loan to the person you owe.
Go open a checking account with 10 dollars in it.
No matter what you do, make sure you keep that 10 dollars in your checking account. Always keep 10% of your money spent that you keep in there saved.
Pay the loan you took out over a 3 year period. Within the first 6 months you will already be doing great.
Doing this, the bank thinks you're good with money, because you have taken out a loan, have had something in your savings account to back it up, and keep money in your checking account at all time, but in reality, you didn't have anything.
Thought this was an interesting thing to share.
I'd fail at step 1. I don't know anyone with that much money to borrow from. :v:
I suppose, but you're still paying for nothing. You could instead just take a loan on something you actually need (house, car) and do the same thing.
Man. I'm gonna get rich.
The first thing I thought when I saw the title was Porno  ...... maa nevermind
This reminds me of what Stein Bagger did.
Is the first thing you think of when you see the number 18 porn? is it really?

not just "18" but "How to obtain good credit as soon as 18."
not just "18" but "How to obtain good credit as soon as 18."
how the hell do you connect that with porno?
How is taking a loan from a bank a good idea?

He is saying to get good credit. If you do not have good credit you cannot take a loan for a car, house, air plane, or whatever floats your boat. This is just a simple well thought out way to get credit fast, and good for that matter.
This reminds me so much of a "get easy money" glitch in games like Fallout 1
Everyone should try this, what's the worst that could happen? :downs:
The real way to build up good credit is don't buy shit you don't need, and don't buy shit you don't have the money for.
Just open a credit card or two. Use it on everyday products, but here's the tricky part. Pay it off in full each month. I did that, and after 2 years I was able to get a lease. Given you have sufficient income.
Best way to do this is to buy one of those department store cards for a year, like a Macy's card. Use it only a couple of times and pay it off each month imediatley.

"Borrow 2000 dollars from somebody"
Nope.

The best credit only goes to those who are in debt, and do not pay the full amounts that they owe immediately. You must pay interest to have great credit.
So really, you just have to pay interest on everything for good credit. I suppose you're not really in debt if you have the money, but don't pay it anyways for credit purposes, which is probably a bad idea because you're paying interest for no reason.
You could also get a gasoline card and use it to buy gas then pay it off at the end of the month. The interest usually is reasonable and you can get in good spending habits as well.

It's the little purchases that build it up..
