A US woman has won a battle to have her full name put on her driving licence.
Janice "Lokelani" Keihanaikukauakahihuliheekahaunaele's name is so long - containing 36 letters and 19 syllables - that it would not fit on the documentation.
But she says her grievance has now been redressed.
Hawaii government computer systems are to be upgraded by the end of the year, allowing her to have her full name on her driving licence and ID card.
Ms Keihanaikukauakahihuliheekahaunaele - who got her name after marrying in 1992 - said that her name had many layers of meanings including "one who would stand up and get people to focus in one direction when there was chaos and confusion, and help them emerge from disorder".
Look at that smile in her photo. That just screams "lol u had 2 change ur systems get wrekt" :v:

What?
I call BS on that.

The meaning is just as big as her name.
I wish there was a name that explained the full events of a whole movie.
Imagine her getting her name taken by the police. He'd need two notepads.
Imagine her as a substitute teacher.
"Hello, my name is Ms.Keihanaikukauakahihuliheekahaunaele"
It would take her half the lesson to introduce herself.
Imagine trying to send her a letter.

Actually it's definitely possible, a friend of mine's last name is Saïd, which means "banishes the evil" in some arabic religious term.

"Ms. Keihanaikukauakahihuliheekahaunaele I don't understand this task"
I'd probably call her ms keikaku
Ms. Hakuna Matata

"Ms. Hakuna Matata is it a wonderful day?"
"Gettin' real tired of you Billy"
you're trying too hard
Someone is going to need to break that down for me because I'm having the damned hardest time trying to pronounce it.
Imagine if instead they had to put the name of this fellow: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wolfe%2B585,_Senior
Her name isn't actually that hard to work with if you're familiar-ish with Hawaiian and sorta block it off into chunks.
It's actually a pretty cool name because it sounds cool when you assign a melody or something to it.

Goddamn, I shit myself in awe when I found out I was at school with a dude called Sacha Mucherahowa.
That's an amazing name.

Clearly you've never been to Hawaii.
Anyone who has lived in Hawaii could easily pronounce that name. Like this:

This is a very hardcore, meaningful callout that totally matters
Lol it's 1 fucking letter.
Austronesian languages, such as Hawaiian, are agglutinative, so it's probably not that far-fetched. "Layers" is a key word here too.
hawaiians have layers

I bet she doesnt even bother to say her full name sometimes
Lol it's 1 fucking letter.
It cuts off her first and middle name.
Can anyone pronounce her name?
I tried.
So if she married into that name, I have to wonder
A. Why did she wait so long to do something about it? I mean in 21 years I'm sure Hawaii's had more than a few system upgrades.
B. Did anyone on her husband's family ever have any trouble?
This was on BBC News this morning, made me smile.

If you actually watched the video, it wasn't a problem until her state ID expired, and when it came back, it looked like her drivers license.

Yeah they got it wrong, it actually means "One who would force an overhaul of the state of Hawaii's identification database"
