My dad said he would get me a bike, pay for insurance, get me my CBT and provisional license for my birthday as well as the SEGA pack that steam was offering for £50. This is the proposed bike: This is a very sexy bike I know but I asked him for an Aprilia RS50 instead he is getting me an MX50. This is an RS50: I love the RS because it looks very sporty but me dad said the MX is quicker, comfier and sounds a lot nice than the RS. I was doing some research on the both of them and the MX does sound a lot better than the RS. Now I don't want to disappoint him by failing the driving test, I really have no idea what is in store for me but I am sure I will do okay. What worries me it that my brother failed it and he also failed his car driving test so he gave up, has driving really become that difficult? Thought I would share this with you because my dad has been the inspiration of my life, I do not know what I would do without him. :h: So people, is an RS better than an MX. I reckon my dad knows more but eh, the RS looks hot. Also, the weather is perfect for riding my bike in, my dad will look forward to riding with me I am sure.
say hi to cutting your life short
say hi to cutting your life short
How is this?
Cool, but I like my car more.
Get some leathers and look slick.
Get the MX and paint it like the RS. Problem solved.
plus you can't drive a motorbike unless it's under 50cc
Maybe your brother is just a bad driver by nature? Anyways, that bike looks kickass. Actually, both of them are.
Get the MX and paint it like the RS. Problem solved.
The whole body work is different, I might see if I could replace the plastics? Nah waste of time.
plus you can't drive a motorbike unless it's under 50cc
I dont know what its like in America, but that is true here in the UK. In which case it's a 31mph moped for you!
plus you can't drive a motorbike unless it's under 50cc
Ehh, have you read the names of the bikes sir?
lol 50cc xD
lol 50cc xD
I will be 16 so it is all I can get, but I am grateful anyway, they are very hot bikes but have a very tinny sound. Probably because the bike is a 2 stroke though.
I have a Yamaha tzr 50cc. Got it for 700£ Second hand and it goes around 60mph so i suggest getting that. But out off the two bikes you said the RS50 is known for breaking down and being unreliable. I didn't have to do a CRT myself because i think the rules are different In Northern Ireland than what it is in the mainland but i struggled with the gears for first 2 hours and after about 15 hours off driving it it is like second nature to me.
I will be 16 so it is all I can get, but I am grateful anyway, they are very hot bikes but have a very tinny sound. Probably because the bike is a 2 stroke though.
Why not just get a scooter why bother with like god damn 5 gears if your max speed is 45
I have a Yamaha tzr 50cc. Got it for 700£ Second hand and it goes around 60mph so i suggest getting that.
That sounds sweet, the MX will go 60 too though. I think that is probably the most you can get out of a 50 cc on a straight. Nice bike you got there, proper sporty isn't it?
Why not just get a scooter why bother with like god damn 5 gears if your max speed is 45
Please sir, do your research before posting.
My lawnmower is faster than this.
My lawnmower is faster than this.
I highly doubt that, is everyone on Facepunch clueless about motorbikes?
Why not just get a scooter why bother with like god damn 5 gears if your max speed is 45
Max speed will be 31mph.
I've only had it a month because my moped was stolen and then burnt out 30 meters away from my house, the bike itself looks sweet though the right fairing is cracked, my bike is the one on the right (http://www.flickr.com/photos/sircairns/4570353591/). The only problem with the bike is the noise that it makes, because it is only 50cc It is so noisy and very high pitched and you can only make it sound better by putting a new exhaust on it, which makes it go slower and uses far more petrol.
Max speed will be 31mph.
Mine went 35 and it was de-restricted :(
I highly doubt that, is everyone on Facepunch clueless about motorbikes?
What did u expect, the only vehicle they drive is the chair in their room.
Max speed will be 31mph.
Yes, scooters sound, look, and drive terribly. I hate everything about a scooter, so I will get an MX which does 60 on a straight and is very hot.
You're getting a 50cc bike with what, three gears? Get a moped instead and look 50% less like a complete idiot
Haha, you really are clueless aren't you!
Yes, scooters sound, look, and drive terribly. I hate everything about a scooter, so I will get an MX which does 60 on a straight and is very hot.
Then you'll be breaking the law. At 16 you're limited to a 50cc vehicle which does no more than 31MPH or 50 km/h.
Then you'll be breaking the law. At 16 you're limited to a 50cc vehicle which does no more than 31MPH or 50 km/h.
No, that is not the law actually. Maybe in America but not in the UK.
You're getting a 50cc bike with what, three gears? Get a moped instead and look 50% less like a complete idiot
Learn your stuff first. A bike has 6 gears, 1 down and 5 up. A moped does a max speed of 31mph. So why not be smart and get a bike that looks sweet and does twice the speed?
No, that is not the law actually. Maybe in America but not in the UK.
I'm English genius. :downs:
I'm English genius. :downs:
Then you have no idea.
Learn your stuff first. A bike has 6 gears, 1 down and 5 up. A moped does a max speed of 31mph. So why not be smart and get a bike that looks sweet and does twice the speed?
Exactly!

Haha, you really are clueless aren't you!
Hope your talking Km/h here and not Mp/h because that thing will need some serious mods to bring it to 60 Mp/h. I wasn't joking about the lawnmower by the way.
Then you have no idea.
http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/DriverLicensing/WhatCanYouDriveAndYourObligations/DG_4022547 :downs:
