This is pretty significant considering that, until now, you could only watch the content on each of the networks (ABC, SBS, 7, 9, Ten etc) through their own apps, and generally the content was on-demand reruns rather than live TV. And unlike what I've heard about American free-to-air TV, Freeview in Australia has enough content to rival cable networks - in fact pretty much the only paid-TV competitor is Foxtel, which is getting destroyed by online streaming services like Netflix. This won't help. There are some other features - and some catches - in the article.

But gosh our Internet isn't that bad haha. It's convenient because now I don't need ABC iview, SBS On Demand and all of those other apps. I can get by with just the one app now. It's actually a hell of a good deal.
