www.dazeddigital.com/artsandculture/article/22732/1/shia-labeouf-the-interview http://time.com/3609444/shia-labeouf-says-he-was-raped-during-a-performance-art-project/ One woman who came with her boyfriend, who was outside the door when this happened, whipped my legs for ten minutes and then stripped my clothing and proceeded to rape me… There were hundreds of people in line when she walked out with dishevelled hair and smudged lipstick. It was no good, not just for me but her man as well. On top of that my girl was in line to see me, because it was Valentine’s Day and I was living in the gallery for the duration of the event – we were separated for five days, no communication. So it really hurt her as well, as I guess the news of it travelled through the line. When she came in she asked for an explanation, and I couldn’t speak, so we both sat with this unexplained trauma silently. It was painful.
That's fucked
Dead source
what? how do you rape somebody for 10 minutes in public? source is dead and i'm confused
http://time.com/3609444/shia-labeouf-says-he-was-raped-during-a-performance-art-project/ second source
Important part for understanding this:
Back in February, Shia LaBeouf staged his #IAmSorry performance art exhibit in a Los Angeles gallery where people were able to enter a room alone with the actor and do and say whatever they wished as he sat silently wearing a paper bag over his head that read: “I AM NOT FAMOUS ANYMORE.”
...what
So he sat in silence as someone raped him? Then acts like he couldn't have prevented this? Not surprised since the guy is bat shit insane, but hey, at least he didn't piss me off entirely in Fury.
Muppet
The fuck is up with that kid.
Well that certainly crossed a line. I'd have reported that to the cops, "do as you want" or not.
And he just sat there doing nothing ? Could he seriously not break the act for one damn second and shove her to the side like anyone else would have done ?
And he just sat there doing nothing ? Do you criticize other rape victims who don't resist enough?
Maybe he was afraid or shocked and couldn't bring himself to move. Do you criticize other rape victims who don't resist enough?
I don't know, it's just a weird situation that involves hipster "art project" bullshit.
so did she drug him as well or something because how did he get a boner in order to get raped
I've never heard of a rape victim that invites people to do whatever they want to them, do you really want to compare rape to that? Seems a little offensive
Maybe he was afraid or shocked and couldn't bring himself to move. Do you criticize other rape victims who don't resist enough?
I'm not one to judge all rape cases on the same level so no I wouldn't criticize other rape victims who don't resist enough. In this one situation I don't understand how and why Shia Labeouf didn't actually react and decide to follow with his art project despite being actively raped with an entire line of people waiting outside who could have reacted if he had done as little as shout.
so did she drug him as well or something because how did he get a boner in order to get raped
Believe it or not, you can get erect when you dont want to.
knowing this pathetic loser, he'll probably later say that this was another art project
You can't host an art project that says you can do what ever you want, then bitch about someone doing what ever they wanted. Dumb Ho(les).
You can't host an art project that says you can do what ever you want, then bitch about someone doing what ever they wanted.
i seriously can't believe people are trying to justify this holy fucking shit i'm pretty sure nobody behind the art project actually expected someone to go as low as this
Was there any reason he couldn't break the act? I don't want to be a victim blamer, but it sounds like a simple "that's too far, stop" would have prevented this. The woman went in with the pretense she could do whatever she wanted.
i seriously can't believe people are trying to justify this i'm pretty sure nobody behind the art project actually expected someone to go as low as this
"Hi guys, do what ever you want to me" "Ok" "Aww boo hoo, I didn't mean do that when I said everything." I can only imagine what went trough his head: "Nonononononononoonoo"
You can't host an art project that says you can do what ever you want, then bitch about someone doing what ever they wanted. Dumb Ho(les).
They still can't do anything illegal. If someone had killed Shia would've it have been okay since he said you can do whatever you want? It's maybe not as bad as what usually comes to mind when we picture rape, since he managed to keep his act up and sit still infront of his girlfriend questioning him and the last 100 people. Still terrible that someone would actually do that.
reminds me of this video, except replace vehicular manslaughter with "rape":
You can't host an art project that says you can do what ever you want, then bitch about someone doing what ever they wanted. Dumb Ho(les).
Bear in mind, he didn't go to a bunch of news outlets and make a big deal of it. He was asked in an email interview if anything unsettling happened and he answered with this story. It doesn't sound like he's bitching about it, in fact the story was more focused around not being able to explain it to his girlfriend than the actual rape.
They still can't do anything illegal. If someone had killed Shia would've it have been okay since he said you can do whatever you want? Still terrible that someone would actually do that.
But rape is illegal because it's non-consensual. She went in with the do-whatever-you-want clause and it appears Shia didn't say anything or make a move suggesting it was not okay. There was no reason other than some art bullshit (not worth getting raped over) to sit there and not say "no." I'm not discounting that he was raped, but if you tell someone they can do whatever they want, you also have to tell them if they cross a line. If he did do such a thing, that's a different story.
Poor guy, I hope his relationship isn't damaged due to this.
[editline]1[/editline] O-okay then. I'll see myself out.
