20th Century Fox has had a Deadpool movie in limbo for years. It has a script (which is supposedly fantastic), it has a star in Ryan Reynolds (who played the character in the ill-conceived X-Men Origins: Wolverine), and it has a director, newcomer Tim Miller. Unfortunately the R-rated project has been too big a risk for the studio to greenlight, so the script has been sitting on a shelf, just begging to get made. At Comic-Con last year, comics writer Rob Liefeld talked about some test footage that had been shot in 2012 showing off the kind of visual aesthetic the film would use, as well as its unique brand of humor, and now that footage has finally leaked online. The footage looks absolutely incredible, and just proves that there’s a great Deadpool movie out there. The fans want it. The talent and crew want to make it. Now the studio needs to just jump on board and take a chance with what could easily be one of the most refreshing, unique comic book films we’ve seen.
http://www.flickeringmyth.com/2014/07/deadpool-movie-test-footage-leaked-watch.html
I hope its not gonna be too tongue in cheek, I like the trailer tho
They need to stop worrying about people not wanting to watch it, the fanbase for Deadpool is quite large, even among people who'd go to an R rated film.
He definitely needs a deeper voice than that.
I feel like H. Jon Benjamin would be perfect for this role.
He definitely needs a deeper voice than that.
It's deeper than marvel vs capcom 3's dead pool, and that how I hear his voice in my head.
Love the part about the topical cream.
I can't tell if it's live-action or animated.
When I read Deadpool, in my head he sounds like he did in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, as that was (I think) the first time I heard of him.
Yes!
I can't tell if it's live-action or animated.
Animated by the looks of it.
They need to stop worrying about people not wanting to watch it, the fanbase for Deadpool is quite large, even among people who'd go to an R rated film.
I'm not a deadpool fan, I don't necessarily like the guy because his writers have recently tried to push "LOL INTERNET MAYMAYS" all over, and I thought his game was way to tongue in cheek, but I'd still go watch a movie about the guy, because Deadpool's fun. I'd actually really like a Lobo movie though.
It's animated but brilliant. The best thing about Deadpool is that his real identity doesn't really matter too much, so they could record the entire movie with a stunt double and dub an actor's voice in later if they really wanted to.
Ehh. I am fine with scenes like this from time to time but I swear to god if they just make the whole movie a waypool cringe fest then I don't want to see it.
Sounds more like Ryan Reynolds.
I really, REALLY want this to come out. I'm kinda wanting more Marvel movies that steer away from the Avengers characters (i.e. Guardians of the Galaxy) so a Deadpool movie would be absolutely fantastic

The humour in this seemed pretty good, I got a little of the same vibe I got from Trevor in GTA V. It's good they're not just defaulting to XD RANDOM
Ryan Reynolds actually has a surprisingly good voice for Deadpool. Does seem to need to be a tiny bit deeper though.
For the record, it is going to be live action, the test footage is just CGI Some of the responses here were a bit misleading
This scene is exactly what was in that leaked script from years ago. Cool.
comics writer Rob Liefeld
Let's just hope he's not doing the storyboards :v:
This scene is exactly what was in that leaked script from years ago. Cool.
Unfortunately. Remember that awful Steven Seagal joke that went on for two pages?
I don't see why Fox thinks that there is no interest for as Deadpool movie, from this test footage it looks fantastic
I don't see why Fox thinks that there is no interest for as Deadpool movie, from this test footage it looks fantastic
Because Fox doesn't realize that Deadpool's fanbase is HUGE. Being R-rated won't mean anything, the movie will still pull in tons of money.
I might be a bit optimistic here, but i feel like this footage getting leaked probably makes a Deadpool films chances drastically improve, if Fox bothers looking at the response to it, anyway. He'll be in X-Force too though, so iunno.
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x22eged_deadpool-test-footage-in-hd_videogames found a non-cam video
So that's what was on the paper he was holding up. Dammit, now I want to see this movie even more. Fuck X-Force, I'd rather have a standalone Deadpool movie any day!
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x22eged_deadpool-test-footage-in-hd_videogames found a non-cam video
I just wonder why they made such a high production quality animation with such high-res models for test footage. Perhaps to pitch the idea more attractively to the bigshot suits?
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x22eged_deadpool-test-footage-in-hd_videogames found a non-cam video
It's even better in HD
That animation is just too uncanny valley for me.
