[release]In the latest twist in the multilegged tale of “The Human Centipede 2 (Full Sequence),” that shock horror film has now been banned in Australia, weeks after it made its premiere at the country’s Brisbane International Film Festival. The “Human Centipede” sequel, the second entry in the Dutch director Tom Six’s series about kidnapping victims who are forcibly sewn together to create a being with a continuous digestive tract, was refused a rating on Monday by Australia’s Classification Review Board, its equivalent of the Motion Picture Association of America, The Brisbane Times reported. The board cited “gratuitous, exploitative or offensive depictions of violence” in the film as it reversed an earlier decision to give it an R rating, which would allow the movie to be seen by viewers age 18 and older. “Human Centipede 2″ was shown at the Brisbane festival on Nov. 5, though the attorney general of New South Wales had requested that the film’s classification be reviewed and a Christian lobbying group called FamilyVoice Australia campaigned for the movie to be banned. Ros Phillips, a spokeswoman for the group, applauded the board’s latest decision, telling The Brisbane Times, “Pornography based on human torture has no place on Australian screens.” The developments in Australia are a mirror image of how “Human Centipede 2″ was received in Britain, where the film was initially banned and then later allowed to be shown after several edits were made. The movie was also released in the United States without much controversy and with only minimal editing. Don't you love censorship?
That movie was popular enough to get a sequel?
waaaaaaaaaaaaaaah waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
Why would they ban such a tasteful and informative film?!
How the hell can it be too violent for R18+? It's like video games all over again.
“Pornography based on human torture has no place on Australian screens.”
since when was centipede pornographic?
That movie was popular enough to get a sequel?
It made a splash. People paid to see a shock film. It sure isn't the first time and it won't be the last. People can hate these films all they want, and while they're widely shlock, elements of them and a lot of the work that goes into them is quite good, and honestly, even the people making these films are laughing about them because they're silly. They will creep people out, but they're silly all the same, and most of the time, they know it.
I actually liked the first one. It wasn't as bad as people made out to be. I'll probably watch this sometime too.
And there will follow sexipede 2 or how is that parody movie called
Think I'm going to be sick.
Poses a real risk that harm is likely to be caused to potential viewers
Oh boy
why in the holy mother of fuck would they make a sequel to this?
why in the holy mother of fuck would they make a sequel to this?
I think the concept of this sequel is honestly a really good one. It's not a typical one either.
Don't you love censorship?
Why would anyone actually want to watch this crap?
Haha, I love how they use "Banned in the U.K." as a selling point.
I actually liked the first one. It wasn't as bad as people made out to be. I'll probably watch this sometime too.
Dieter Laser was fucking amazing as Heiter.
since when was centipede pornographic?
Damnit australia, what did i tell you about mixing up movies with a serbian film?
i thought the first one was really funny in a surreal what-the-fuck-were-they-thinking kinda way but i've heard the second one is like, 10000000000000000000000x worse
Come to this country to see it :v:
From what I've heard it's basically gore porn compared to the first.
waiting for rusry100s reply to this
From what I've heard it's basically gore porn compared to the first.
Believe it or not there's a rape scene between the end piece of the creation and the main character, and while he's at it, she defecates on him. Easily one of the most disgusting films in the history of cinema. Quite creepy in many regards, however.
since when was centipede pornographic?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Human_Sexipede v:v:v
Before people say "WELL GOOD", you do notice that this is pretty much blatant censorship and another example of "I need the government to hold my hand"
BANNED BANNED BANNED Australia is fucked.
BANNED BANNED BANNED
Sounds like a stereotypical view of Facepunch :v:
