Looking good. That cinematography.
Director is Alejandro González Iñárritu, thats why it kinda looks like Birdman. Hope we get some sick oners.
that music with the breathing holy shit
Will he finally get the Oscar?
[sp]Or will Tom Hardy take it?[/sp]
Looks very intense at moments.
Don't read the youtube description, it's got spoilers in it... which is fucking retarded.

It's based off true-ish events.
Better not read any history books either.

That logic is so dumb it hurts. Of course there will be people who'll see this movie and not know the story, it's not exactly common knowledge. I don't think the fact it's based on "true-ish" events justifies giving away the plot in a trailer blurb.

I don't think being told he...

Sweet fancy Moses that cinematography has me feelin' some type of way.
Leo better win a fucking oscar i swear to god. If he doesn't by the end of his life I will be very very sad.
The Birdman director doing big action scenes? Yes, please.
I don't think being told he gets attacked by a bear and left for dead in the wilderness counts as a massive spoiler.
How about the fact he's [sp]betrayed by his mate...[/sp]

That would make sense if this were a documentary.
its like every shot is a fuckin painting man mmmmm
Dicaprio as the grizzled frontiersman, lol. Love this setting though so I will definitely watch it.
Looks great, looks kinda "fresh", haven't seen anything like this in a while.
Tom Hardy is on a really great fucking run though, Inception, Dark Knight Rises, Mad Max... one of my favorite actors these days.

Just because he knows how to scream his lines doesn't mean he should win an oscar. So far he was up against actors who deserved it much more than him.
Jesus the scene where Leonardo is running from the Indians, fucking brutal.
This is how you fucking do a trailer. I have barely any idea of what the movie is about but I am now more hyped for this than any other movie this year.
Iñárritu + DiCaprio. Please. Give me this now.
Titanic 2 is looking good
In all seriousness this looks great. Also, love how this is a trailer that got me pumped to see this movie without spoiling anything, not even telling me what the general plotline is. That is excellent trailer directing. Marketers should learn from this.
Mystery and intrigue with enough good hooks shown off is huge in building anticipation/hype.
Ugh, why DiCaprio?
Ugh, why DiCaprio?
Why not? He's proven himself to be a fantastic, versatile actor.

People who roll their eyes at dicaprio make me think the only movie they've ever seen him in was titanic as "boy-band esque looking dreamboat" instead of the massive volume of other excellent roles he's been in since then
No wonder this reminded me of Children of Men in how it was shot. The cinematographer of both is Emmanuel Lubezki. There will probably be a handful of long takes.

The director's last movie was edited to look like the entire movie was a single very long take. It was actually just a series of very long take scenes edited together.

Apparently it's the first feature film to be shot on the Arri 65, which is essentially the new digital equivalent of Imax film, or as close to it as we've come so far. Might usher in a new era of fucking gorgeous 65-70mm movies.

With the sheer number of other movies he's shown up in (and kicked ass in almost all of them to boot) I'm surprised there are still people who think that way. It's hard not to stumble upon dicaprio doing an awesome performance in a movie these days.
DiCaprio is really good and works his heart out.
He may not be Tom Hanks or Bryan Cranston but by god does he put himself into it
