That was absolutely awful. The scenes didn't match the music, the scenes were re ordered for no reason, there was random zooming and slowing, reused shots multiple times. It was an utterly joyless and emotionless edit which actually managed to suck away some of the hype I have for Battlefield 1.
trash tier
It really baffles me that people legitimately think that the music did not fit the original trailer at all. Some even wanted WW I - era music, just wow.
Do you actually think that cut is better than this?
I don't understand why people are unhappy with the trailer that was released. It was cut really well, showed off some pretty cool moments. Yeah it's overly "bro-cool", but what did people expect, really? Battlefield 3 and 4 had dubstepy music everywhere, and even though I like the normal variations of the theme song (1942, 2, 2142, 1943), this dubstepy variant suited the aesthetic of both games very well. Later on we'll get some gameplay footage, that's what's important
holy shit that was awful
Its a funny combination hearing such a low-quality (digital instruments) song while having such glorious visuals, feels wrong
That's not even the good version of the 1942 theme.
if you hate the original trailer you probably don't understand marketing or have a great taste in music tbh that trailer was the completely correct way to make a trailer.
There's a lot wrong with this, but they couldn't even use the version of the BF1942 intro song without the sound effects? It sounds like they tried to remove the sound effects but couldn't. Plus, "Seven Nation Army" definitely fits a game set in WW1. I think at least seven nations were in it. And there's no way to twist and contort a trailer that was specifically cut and designed for the song.
It really baffles me that people legitimately think that the music did not fit the original trailer at all. Honestly, I don't get why people act so fucking baffled over the idea that someone didn't like the trailer, even if the choices they don't like were for the sake of marketing.
And if it's the song people are complaining about, I'd really hate to see their reaction to a BF1942 trailer that doesn't use orchestral music:
Plus, "Seven Nation Army" definitely fits a game set in WW1. I think at least seven nations were in it.
there were eight, with four nations on both sides
The music and the visuals have to, you know, actually be synced properly
It really baffles me that people legitimately think that the music did not fit the original trailer at all. Some even wanted WW I - era music, just wow.
Honestly, there were better music choices. You could've easily used the Trooper or the 2Cellos rendition.

what the fucks up with those zoom pans nigga what
if you hate the original trailer you probably don't understand marketing or have a great taste in music tbh that trailer was the completely correct way to make a trailer.
While i think the music didn't fit at all, saying "you don't have a great taste in music because you don't like what I like" is pretty damn pretentious.
Possibly my favorite version of the BF1942 theme came from Battlefield 2
Haha I was going to post this. That's freaking hilarious.
I think the trailer music sucked, but they did the best they could with it. A hyped-up trailer needs something that appeals to the masses that are on the fence about a game that is set out of their comfort zone. A lot of wub-wub and a remix of a popular song is a good way to get them interested, especially when the trailer was very well put together, technically. I would have much preferred a good orchestral piece akin to the classic and Bad Company BF games and I do think it would have fit much better, but as far as marketing goes, there's no reason to try and get at the nostalgia of the people who are already going to be buying the game.
If you don't like the glitch mob you have problems.
Bad Company 1's rendition of the traditional Battlefield theme is also pretty good. I always found it strange that BC2 didn't have a variation of the theme
the music was fine? like if you look at it from a marketing standpoint it ticked all the boxes. Got everyone hyped, fitted the scenes well and made it really intense i get the music didnt fit the era but you will not be hearing modern music in the actual game (highly unlikely) but for the trailer they used something upbeat and fitting to what was going on people complaining about the choice are really stupid honestly

It's pretty common nowadays. All they had to do was mix in some vintage instruments when they were bass-boosting the seven nation army remix. Just to give it a bit of character rather than just reusing the same washed up thing.

i found this one better than the video tbh
