This is a normal reaction to something you dislike. For example, a song. A shitty song (Or just a song that you don't like at all) might/will get on your nerves and stay stuck in your head even if you can't hear it. A song that you like might not stay memorized unless you are currently listening to it (Eg: You'll hear a single line, verse or beat/tune and suddenly the rest of the song is remembered.)
