I thought the title was a sarcastic joke.
Kurt Cobain was pretty much my inspiration No.1
Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I've been depressed for literally half of my life.

So he being depressed was inspiring?
So he being depressed was inspiring?
It's kind of hard to explain...
Maybe his emotional lyrics were inspiring to you and made you realise life was worth living then perhaps?

Well, I'd agree with that, but it's not really the lyrics. It's like, you could hear the pain in his voice in some of his songs.
The only band whose discography I actually bought.
also you've missed out Unplugged in NY.
[editline]24th September 2011[/editline]
Why haven't you even mentioned that Pat Smear joined Nirvana in 1994?

I'll add him, I thought I got him.
I'll add Unplugged as well, I was mainly focusing on studio albums for the time being.
How dare you not mention Live at Reading. Fantastic performances.
also I think people are too mean to that Hole chick. Sure Hole might have killed Nirvarna but Hole's a pretty cool guy really. just listen to Live Through This. It's a really good album.
Unplugged is as good as any studio album. It's one of the best live albums I think.

I just wanted to get the bare rundown for now, after all, right now it's all about Nevermind. I'll add to the OP later.
My dad actually hung out with Nirvana for day, this is when they weren't very famous though. My dad thought they weren't that good when they hung out and played with them ironically. I think my Dad still knows Dave, and if they met they would recognize each other.
Anybody here getting the 20th anniversary box set? I know I am
Anybody here getting the 20th anniversary box set? I know I am
I'm going to try to get it on vinyl. 60 bucks isn't too shabby for 4 records.
Here's the link if anyone is interested: http://www.amazon.com/Nevermind-4-LP-Deluxe-Nirvana/dp/B005CK76ZA
I can't believe its been 20 years. I'm a huge fan and I'm always watching live videos and I still find it weird that the drummer went on to form the Foo Fighters.
In celebration of 20 years of nevermind, my Nirvana tribute are touring for the occasion playing most of the O2 Academies in the uk. If youre in the uk you should come down to one.
I don't think Cobain should be dead. He really needed help but smack got the better of him, It's such a huge shame.

Still haven't opened my In Utero LP after owning it for 2 years. :>
ffs AK'z!
Dude, it's the only sealed album I have. It's special. :>
You should get that Portishead album that is sealed and keep it sealed too.
You should get that Portishead album that is sealed and keep it sealed too.
Yeah I need to get Third.
Even though this is a thread about nevermind I thought I might post some of my Nirvana vinyls!

All original pressings. "Nevermind" "Nirvana Unplugged" and the 12" single of heart shaped box with Marigold as the B - side.

10th Anniversary picture vinyl of "In Utero" and just the picture vinyl of Bleach.
I've never played them but I bought them second hand so I dont know if the last owner played them, great condition though.

This is an original 1990 Sub Pop release of Nirvanas "Sliver"
Sorry for the crappy quality.
Awesome, the ones I have are all "Back To Black" reissues.
Awesome, the ones I have are all "Back To Black" reissues.
That explains the very nice condition of the sleeves. I didn't even see the back to black sticker :v:
Are those the only Nirvana vinyls you have?
I got the back to black version of In Utero, should probably get the rest on vinyl too, I already own the CDs though. And that In Utero picturedisk is fucking sexy.
I don't have any vinyl Nirvana albums. =\
Which is why I'm working on the 20th anniversary Nevermind album.

Those are awesome, I'm really interested in the Sliver album.
Also, the thread is Nirvana general, you can post anything Nirvana related. I just decided to dedicate the whole thread to Nevermind.
I may get disagreed with, but judging from You Know You're Right, I really liked the direction Nirvana was taking. You Know You're Right is my favorite Nirvana song, actually.

I really like that song too, I don't have it in my collection though. =\
