This looks like Sonic was dropped into a Marble Madness game. I always wanted to like this title, but felt it was missing that last bit of polish the earlier games had. While visually it's pretty nice, the world just felt barren with not that much to do, but save a few animals. It also lacked any kind of underwater section where the anxiety kicks in as you watch Sonic slowly drown.

I think my next video will be this lovely offshoot.
What do you think?
This shit was part of my childhood. Good times.
I liked this game
Oh cool, I remember playing this game at an aunt's house when she used to have a Sega Genesis/Sege Saturn. I think that was the only time I ever played on a Sega console.
genesis version was definitely superior

Genesis is very solidly a sonic soundtrack
Saturn, while admittedly waaay higher fidelity (probably jaw dropping for the time), sounds like it belongs on a snow-covered map in final fantasy tactics, if tactics was on the N64. Granted, diamond dust is literally a snow level, that christmassy sleigh bell music is incredibly out-of-taste for the series
So much better zoomed out.
I loved Sonic 3D on Saturn's soundtrack way more for just these songs

it was the period in time Sega was going all out with making 90's house music for their games.
the game still flat out sucked though.
I didn't even know the game had another soundtrack other than the one on Genesis.
Probably because I've only played it on the Mega Collection, which is the Genesis version.
