Edit: I'm aware of the how golfers and tennis players have their own designated areas to play. I was just posting this because I thought it was amusing.
Except they were at a tennis court/golf course. When police start kicking skateboarders out of skate parks, you can complain.
But skateboarders are allowed to do their stuff on a skateboard park with halfpipes and shit. I mean, a golfer doesn't play golf in the middle of a city, because he could hit someone. And let's face it, most skateboarders are huge dicks, and when they grind on shit, it also get broken (I've seen this in some cities where pretty nice stone-stairs were ruined)
Those damn runners and there running about
that's why we built tennis courts for tennis and golf courses for golfing. We didn't build sidewalks and staircases for skate boarders, that's why we built skateparks.
that's why we built tennis courts for tennis and golf courses for golfing. We didn't build sidewalks and staircases for skate boarders, that's why we built skateparks.
but the running thing was somewhat applicable.
Skateboarders aren't athletes though.
Yeah the last one did actually make sense, runners often run in public.
i read the title as atheists rather than athletes
2:12 looks like Bam Margera's mom
2:12 looks like Bam Margera's mom
there is no 2:12
there is no 2:12
I assume he means 1:12.
I would like it if all athletes were looked down upon like skateboarders. Professional ones anyway. They have no right to make that much money.
I would like it if all athletes were looked down upon like skateboarders. Professional ones anyway. They have no right to make that much money.
Do explain
Yeah the last one did actually make sense, runners often run in public.
I can almost guarantee that you can stop and maneuver easier on your own feet than on a skate board, reducing the risk of accident.
I would like it if all athletes were looked down upon like skateboarders. Professional ones anyway. They have no right to make that much money.
It's an entertainment industry. People like to bet and cheer for their team or player. Your argument is already false when you consider the fact that sports rake in billions of dollars.
I can almost guarantee that you can stop and maneuver easier on your own feet than on a skate board, reducing the risk of accident.
You have obviously never skated. It's an incredibly maneuverable machine. I've never been hit by someone on a skateboard on public property, but I have been hit by some long-distance bikers and even some runners. Yes, runners. I didn't catch him off-guard, I didn't misjudge his speed and try to go in front of him. He was listening to his ipod and he was looking the other direction.
Skateboarders aren't athletes though.
Get the fuck out.

I support this, but the tennis and golf courses are not really the same..
As a former skateboarder, I assure you these are pretty irrelevant. The first two were in designated areas, and the third is an invalid comparison since skateboarding is noisy and far more dangerous for bystanders. Not to mention grinding up the benches and curbs ruins the cement, and when we wax up stuff to skate, it leaves nasty black residue. Plus our whole culture is pretty much classic delinquent.

Assuming skateboards are as "maneuverable" as you say, you shouldn't have had any problem getting out of the way.
The concept is ridiculous but it's still pretty funny Like the golfers giving lip to the cops
couple of monkeys up dere
:v:
What if we treated all athletes like skateboarders? Just do it.
I think the running clip was the only one that makes sense, because you don't see people prohibiting skateboarding at a skatepark
Yeah the last one did actually make sense, runners often run in public.
They could have made one with kids playing road hockey and another with people playing soccer in the park But to be fair to these ads, even when skateboarders use an approved area they're still kind of looked down upon

You dont see cops going into skate parks and busting it up. The ad is just some cheap attempt to advertise to skaters, and I hope most people see how horrible of a comparison this is. But seeing how a lot of skaters seem to have a persecution complex I doubt they will.
I fucking hate it when people jog on roads. There's a sidewalk right next to you, don't complain when you're out doing your 6:00AM run and you get hit by a car.
Skateboarders aren't athletes though.
I like how your name is Pizza. You'd probably brake the skateboard if you stood on it.
that's why we built tennis courts for tennis and golf courses for golfing. We didn't build sidewalks and staircases for skate boarders, that's why we built skateparks.
well then i'm glad you'll be the first person to fund a 600 million dollar project to add a half decent fucking skatepark to every corner of the globe [editline]27th April 2011[/editline]
I think the running clip was the only one that makes sense, because you don't see people prohibiting skateboarding at a skatepark
The shit concrete one in my town routinely has cops driving by and telling us to leave because it's "too loud". If I can find a picture of the park I can show you the quality in which this fucking place was built, it's a piece of shit and I'd rather pay $150 for a park bench than skate there.
