I'm pretty sure /pol/ introduced it to 4chan, not the other way around. They might've created the soyboy wojack edit but I wouldn't consider that to be much of an achievement.

Soy jokes were a /fit/ / fitnessforum joke. /pol/ and the other boards adapted it later on. I mean for fucks sake even the /fit/ in review comics have mentioned this, and those have been going on for years.

I was always vaguely uncomfortable with the "soyboy" phrase but mostly because soy is a really important part of many world cultures and might be disparaging in the same way as a term like "Wheat-weakling" or "Pinto-pussy" would be, but I just thought it was harmless bro-science in the vein of /fit/ or bodybuilding communities and not really being used to discredit or dismiss people. That its bad science being picked up by the likes of Paul Joseph Watson kinda sucks. Like a lot.
Anyways, if an argument uses the term soyboy to imply the opponent is effeminate and therefore not worthy of consideration, the argument is probably weak.
