Then there's this masterpiece
Purging aliens is just too fun.
Stellaris is a great game which sadly lacks any form of acceptable combat or warfare.

2% of the population is aliens CROSSED THE LINE, TRAITORS
stellaris is one of those games where you can routinely (and safely) violate the Geneva conventions.

Imagine how good a game Stellaris would be if it went 1 extra level in depth of civilization building, and combat was actually good.
Paradox games in general makes people say hilarious things out of context :v:
First thing out of the Stellaris subreddit :v: [t]http://i.imgur.com/F0N2D0t.png[/t]
Is Stellaris worth the buy then? Been holding off a bit, but I get a paycheck soon and have been thinking...
The lesson I've learned from this and Mass Effect is that if you can't fuck aliens then the next logical step is to eradicate them.
The best form of genocide is turning them into fast food. You can even genetically modify them to be more tasty.
Is Stellaris worth the buy then? Been holding off a bit, but I get a paycheck soon and have been thinking...
Right now? yeah, totally I got plenty of hours out of it and that was before the DLC packs. And if you get tired of the vanilla game, the modding scene is also really good. [editline]edit[/editline] https://www.reddit.com/r/Stellaris/comments/6djd3d/for_those_who_are_curious_about_the_game_or_dlc/ This might help.
Is Stellaris worth the buy then? Been holding off a bit, but I get a paycheck soon and have been thinking...
As with most Paradox games they only start to shine after a year or more of patches and DLC (and a good sale). Missed your chance during the summer sale, I'd wait for another one.
This video is not availlable in my country Oh, now I understand.
I feel bad that your government doesn't trust you with this content.
Either copyrighted music or maybe, oh, I dunno, the thumbnail being a Nazi swastika. It's a reference to the semi-common usage in Stellaris gameplay discussions of "Space Hitler" as a common descriptor for certain ethics/government selections.
I feel bad that your government doesn't trust you with this content.
No I am fine with the censorship. Don't want to upset big brother.
Is Stellaris worth the buy then? Been holding off a bit, but I get a paycheck soon and have been thinking...
It's the only RTS other than AoE/CIV I've ever sunk significant hours in to. I usually get put off by the amount of menus etc in these types of games (up until recently I always felt too stupid to play them, now I just don't have the time :<), but it's got a really nice UI once you get used to it and the story of what's going on in your galaxy is interesting enough to make you want to learn - at least, in my experience. You get a lot of choice and control. Which, after all, is why we all play these things, right?
Probably don't want to beam this one out at METI
This is a game where it used to be viable to gene mod another race's species so that they loved to migrate and breed fast, but make them hideous and give them every single negative malus possible. Then gift the planet that species is on to a hostile race and watch their empire collapse as the monstrosity you left on the planet spreads throughout their systems outbreeding everything and making people hate themselves.

So picked it up and started a new game with the UN as a black man. Immediately become an Asian woman on loading in.
by 'used to be viable' he means the devs fixed it by removing the ability to give planets to the ai
I thought you can give planets to other empires, but you can't give negative traits to races anymore.
I thought you can give planets to other empires, but you can't give negative traits to races anymore.
last time i checked, ai had a -1000 (permananetly blocking) acceptance to being given a planet (but i heard they'd change that for giving to vassals). giving a race negative traits just requires final tech in the gene modding ascension tree, since it has non-exploity uses (getting points for a more expensive positive trait)
