MST3k is probably the funniest tv show i know of.Its from the 90's and its about a janitor Joel that gets shot up into space by his evil bosses . Joel's bosses send him bad movies for him to watch as part of the "Experiment".Mike makes 4 robots , Tom Servo.Crow.Gypsy.Cambot Tom Servo : Watches the movies with Joel Crow: Watches the movies with Tom and joel Gypsy: Support character that doesnt watch the movies but show up in the mid movie parts Cambot: well the camera and the satelite's controller Joel Tom and Crow watch bad movies and riff on them , now that might not sound so funny but you have to watch any episode to see what im talking about heres a little short :
For shame OP, you didn't even mention the awsome theme song:
Joel was actually the first one shot into space, and he made all the robots. He later escaped, and Mike became the new host.
I like how they break the fourth wall in the theme song.
For shame OP, you didn't even mention the awsome theme song:
Thats the Theme song after season 5 from season 1-5 its this one
what a coincidence, I'm watching an episode of it right now. "The Side Hackers". also, shame on you OP for not including the Patrick Swayze Christmas: [editline]12:05PM[/editline]
Joel was actually the first one shot into space, and he made all the robots. He later escaped, and Mike became the new host.
and the fandom had a major war over who was better, like every other time the cast changed. by the end of the series, the entire cast (including the guys who played the bots) was a different person from the cast of the first season. first, Tom Servo's voice was changed from J. Elvis Weinstein to Kevin Murphy, and Weinstein's character Dr. Erdhardt was replaced by TV's Frank. then Joel was replaced by Mike after Joel decided to leave the show. Frank ended up leaving and Dr. Forrester's mother replaced him. Dr. Forrester himself ended up leaving, and since he was also the voice of Crow, Bill Corbett became the new Crow. then Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbett ended up playing Professor Bobo and Brain Guy (respectively) as well as Servo and Crow, with the former two becoming Pearl Forrester's sidekicks, becoming the new Mads. this MST history lesson brought to you by Xenomoose and the MST3K wiki. EDIT: also, I forgot about Gypsy. Jim Mallon was the original voice, but it got changed to someone else. forgot who. and also, the cast of Mike, Kevin and Bill became the crew behind Rifftrax, MST's Spiritual Successor, while Joel, Trace (Forrester), Weinstein, Frank and a few other MST vets created the Cinematic Titanic series, which isn't as well known but is still good.
Knowing is half the battle!
I love this show, The Girl In Gold Boots episode was hilarious.

This shit is terrible... Terribly awesome.
Manos: Hands of Fate was the best.
Manos was the first episode I ever saw. came with "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians" in the "Essentials" DVDs. I was hooked. but all the episodes that came with Vol. 5 of the collection ("Boggy Creek II", "Merlin's Shop of Mystical Wonders", "Time Chasers", and "The Touch of Satan") all tie as my favorites. best volume out of all the ones I have currently... and I don't really have much of them.
I was graced with the honor of seeing Joel's live show, Cinematic Titanic. It's him and a few of the old cast members, I never laughed so hard in public. The guys there were Joel, Josh Elvis Weinstein (Original Tom Servo and Dr. Larry Earnhardt), Trace Beaulieu (Original Crow T. Robot and Dr. Clayton Forrester), Frank Conniff (TV's Frank) and Mary Jo Pehl (Magic Voice, Dr. Forrester's Mom). I can honestly say that it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. You can imagine that I love MST3K, even though I was too young to really acknowledge the series when it was first aired, but I remember being a little kid on my Dad's lap while he watched the show. Those of you who got to watch it ever night, I envy you. I wish I could be a legitimate fan like some of you all out there :unsmith:
seconded, Handsome Pete. I never got to see it when it was on TV, and I only have a few volumes on DVD. it makes me feel like an illegit fan. but I still love this series, and I will give anything to have all of the episodes.
I fucking love this show, but I can never find it on DVD anywhere. There isn't a single pawn shop or video rental store in the city that has it for some reason.
oh i how i love this show. Anyone remember that one episode where they start singing "Cars"? shit couldn't control myself laughing, i gotta see that one more time before i die
I fucking love this show, but I can never find it on DVD anywhere. OP doesn't do the show justice and isn't completely accurate. I actually watched the movie last night. Shit is great. "IT'S THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR CHEESE WEDGE!"
My parents used to watch this all the time. I was too young to really get it though. Watching them now, I sort of get why. Seeing the movie on TV really got me interested in the show, since I thought it was a riot.

I've been trying to find the movie and Godzilla episodes on youtube, but I can only find small snippets of them, anyone got a link to a site with those episodes?

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=8962072661232437086# and the movie can be bought on Amazon, along with most of the DVD releases. (there's one volume they don't have, but there's a third party seller who was selling it for about 5x the factory price! who the fuck does he think he's kidding???) the best thing about this is that the Brains themselves support the download and sharing of MST episodes that aren't available on DVD.

I got to see Cinematic Titanic last year with a friend, and I gotta say if it's coming to your are, GO SEE IT... it was soooo worth it The movie they riffed was "the Dynamite Brothers," and afterwards I got them to autograph a picture that is now hanging on my wall.. what a great show!
