A bit of a weird promotional advert for the IBM PC in the UK, clearly the marketing team knew exactly their target audience in Britain when coming up with this idea.
The tape was a bit damaged, so it's jittery here and there.
The IBM PC is pretty much the father of modern PCs, right?

Yes, and that is why, although the term is not used very much anymore, modern PCs are sometimes called "IBM PC compatible". Over here we use the term "PC/AT compatible" fairly often though.

And it was by complete accident, clone makers simply reverse engineered the BIOS, made their own then used the off the shelf components IBM used.
It's also worth noting how far its come, these machines when they launched did not have much in the way of graphics and sound capabilities. The much cheaper home computers were far superior in that respect.
