My thoughts on the supposed debacle that is "Nintendo ripped of xbocks!!!!"

Your accent is awesome.
Your face is awesome
i don't understand why they're saying nintendo ripped off microsoft even though the xbox just got a fucking tablet
I want that controller as a gamepad for pc.
Sounds about right. I don't care about nintendo anymore though. I'll wait a couple generations if i have to.
I just noticed the ABXY buttons on the wii u controller seem awkward. I liked the gamecube layout with Y at the top and X on the right leaving left for B and bottom for A (sort of). Seems like they used the handheld layout which makes more sense for Japanese players as they are used to using the right button for going through menus.

Just get a wired Xbox 360 controller. Same basic shape and you can find em super cheap.
dual shock were for ps1 weren't they? they came out after the system launched but it wasn't a ps2 design
The Xbox controller wasn't comfortable and was just awkward to me.
The chatpad for the xbox added the perfect counterweight. I cant use a controller without one because they feel like cheap versions.

The S wasn't nearly as bad, but Duke was shit.

The design of it makes it perfect for certain handsizes, but for others, it's terrible.
Like three years ago I hated it because I had to do awkward hand movements because they were too small. Now it feels amazing.
The Playstation controller is pretty much the opposite where it's great for small hands and annoying with larger ones.
I kinda hope Nintendo dose a dual shipment for the Wii U, one that comes with the tablet controller and another one that comes with the classic controller instead. That way if you can't afford it with the tablet you still can get it.
I have to agree with your opinion on the XBox 360 controller roughly being the best to date.
Nintendo's WiiU Pro-Gamepad? Ripping off the XBox 360 controller? It's called using a good idea.
More and more, the WiiU seems like a better console. I just hope the games can meet that criteria...
its very subjective, imo the best one is the PS2/3 controller, the dpad + the shoulder buttons are just so comfortable to me
I still think the gamecube controller is the best feeling controller released so far.
It just needs a left shoulder bumper and wireless, it would be perfect.

Blisters all over my thumb
I'd argue that just about all the current controllers are based off of the ps2 controller, besides the Wii controller. 2 analog sticks, 1 d-pad, 4 buttons, and 4 shoulder pads.
That was a nice video and I like your voice but I actually liked the feel of the wiimote besides the 1 and 2 buttons which I found hard to press.
Op, while you made some good points in the video, the conclusion is just stupid; "it's not a ripoff since other people have ripped your stuff off before"
The only reason why people are cracking jokes at this controller is because its shape looks almost exactly the same as the 360 controller, just with a few buttons and sticks swapped around. As presented in the video, pretty much every other controller created by a major console company before had a somewhat unique shape, unless it was an updated version of an existing controller. Well, this one deosn't.
It's no reason to hate on Nintendo, in fact as long as the controller does its job well I couldn't care less how much of a ripoff it is, but I think the reactions it's getting are mostly justified.

I loved the Duke, it was so comfortable.
I just wish Nintendo would keep up to date with their hardware and compete, why are they obsessed with dated graphics? You can make a good game as well as give it nice looks. They also don't seem to expand anymore with new titles but rather stagnate and rehash the same shit over and over (though slightly different), and that will only last so long until people get bored.
I wanna see new titles as well as bringing back old ones and compete with Sony and Microsoft in the gaming department rather than just focus on one group of people.
I kinda hope Nintendo dose a dual shipment for the Wii U, one that comes with the tablet controller and another one that comes with the classic controller instead. That way if you can't afford it with the tablet you still can get it.
The tablet will come with every console, that's a given. They still haven't announced if they'll even allow more then one tablet for a console.
That said, a bundle with both controlers would certainly be necessary, in my opinion, to ensure that third partys can even assume that people have it.
360 controller isn't very comfortable IMO, I don't see how anyone could think it is.
I guess I'm just so used to the Sony controllers to feel the INCREDIBLE ERGONOMIC DESIGN of the 360.
Personally, I prefer the PS3 controller layout over the 360's. I don't really have any preference over the consoles themselves, though.
It's pretty sad how people are arguing about controller design and patents and all this shit.
Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft should just focus on making the best games and selling the best product.
I don't get why people give a shit that someone "ripped off" the 360 controller, anyway.
The 360 gamepad is far and away the most comfortable controller of this console generation. I, for one, would be happy if everyone ripped it off and it became standard.
Although I do not like the placement of the four buttons on the right. I know they probably swapped the R-stick and the buttons to keep from infringing upon patents, but come on. The B-Button is right on the bottom edge. That's a horrible idea.
You forgot this thing.

I have never used that thing or Wii's controller, but do they have vibration?
