To create this strata-cut animation, I planed down a block of wood one layer at a time, photographing it at each pass. The painstaking process revealed a hidden life and motion in the seemingly static grain of the wood, even as the wood itself was reduced to a mound of sawdust.
Music started getting annoying, but that was neat.
What was up with that music? It's like as if an indie punk band tried making a 70s western TV show theme and John Williams mashed together. [editline]15th July 2014[/editline] cool vid though
It reminds me of space for some reason.
How did they get a camera inside the tree to film that stuff moving around?!

the music suited it well a lot of it would work well as a background for an intro for a western
the music suited it well a lot of it would work well as a background for an intro for a western
I kept thinking of Inglorious Bastards.
I thought of The Goood, The Bad, And The Ugly personally.
real shit this looked like an intro to a quentin tarantino film [editline]16th July 2014[/editline] like the wood explodes and jack russel comes out shooting
Looks like jupiter
The wood-grain and music makes me think of somesort of new-age western movie. Sorta like Easy Riders, but set in the current day and age, describing the rise and fall of the Occupy Movement, legalization movements for certain drugs, and the like.
