Don't get the point of the blind fold.
Don't get the point of the blind fold.
it's to make it look harder I guess but really any drummer knows where his kit is anyway since drumming just involves muscle memory and rhythm and isn't a hand eye coordination thing
It's like not looking at your keyboard while typing.
Who does that? I just look at the text and navigate by feeling. That's why there are little nubs on the f and j keys on qwerty keyboards.
It's like not looking at your keyboard while typing.
if you have to look at your keyboard then you don't know how to type. they should have taught you this in your introductory to computers course back in middle school. I just know where the keys are, I would probably struggle to break 40 words per minute if I had to look at the keyboard.
Yeah I am a pretty shit drummer but all my life I have been learning to drum with eyes pinned at the script, so I wouldn't get anywhere if I had to look at the drums. Once you memorize the track there's literally no reason to look a kit you are already familiar with. [editline]10th December 2014[/editline] What's more impressive is that I am fairly sure the original track is beatspliced and this guy plays it legit. There's nothing groundbreaking through it but the precision in the odd beats was fairly impressive at least to me.

But I assume most people here don't look at their keyboards while typing which is why I thought it would be a nice analogy.
if you have to look at your keyboard then you don't know how to type. they should have taught you this in your introductory to computers course back in middle school.
Way to be an assumptive douchebag. There was no such thing as a course that taught me to type when I went school.

We are prone to be the guinea pigs of this nation when it comes to school projects. You northeners are too busy battling ice monsters and making good fish to be worrying about computer typing.
This I would call impresive blind drum playing: You know, he has been blind since shortly after birth, and he can rock on keyboards, harmonica, drums, bass guitar, congas, bongos and keytar, and sing at the same time.
impressive. richard d. james's work is and has always been genius.
Absolutely amazing stick control It's extremely hard for a human to emulate a drum machine like that.
