I don't want to derail the thread but this applies to any community that was previously non-monetized and presently monetized such as paid mods so the video is accurate when talking about that portion. It's a cycle of hatred, entitlement, and jealousy.
This is the first Markiplier video I've watched. Or listened to, in this instance.
Today I learned Markiplier has a very soothing voice to listen to.

I get that it kinda became a trademark for him but I feel like he'd look so much better without it
kinda obvious he's talking about Keemstar who's making buckets of cash from making drama videos and stirring the pot all the fucking time

Also one of the people he went with to do this that also dyed their hair committed suicide shortly afterwards, so it might be a helpful coping mechanism.

Markiplier is one of those guys I have a lot of respect for. Sure he does the screaming Let's Plays and stuff and he'll forever be associated with Five Nights at Freddy's for sure, but apart from that the man is really strong and truly a good honest person who seems to genuinely care a lot about doing good in the world and using his internet celeb status to do it.
Just watch his "Draw my life" video from a few years back, the man's been through the wringer and somehow managed to keep it together and stay positive.

Youtube drama usually starts because a user doesn't think that another user is entitled to his current fan base and all the perks associated with so they go public with the issue. If it wasn't the case, the resolution would've been solved privately. Paid mod drama started because modders believed that they're entitled to financial compensation, while users believed they're entitled to free stuff.
Idk if entitlement was the best word, but to sum this up it's basically one person or more believing that someone else should receive certain treatment dictated by a person or more.

I'm so so happy that someone like Markiplier is speaking up for creativity. Back in 2008 you had to actually think and put some kind of effort into a video for it to be seen. That same level of creativity is either unrewarded or left to bigger people who have been doing it forever. Rarely do we see new people come about with original content that is actually entertaining on its own. While people like Frank, iDubbbz, and h3h3 have gotten pretty popular, those channels will probably take a way way longer time to get as big as something like, say, Smosh when they were big.

i'd personally disagree on the h3h3 part, he verged on it with the leafy shit but other than that, he's treated just about everything level-headedly and avoided stirring up anything unnecessary, if anything at all, unless i'm missing something
i'm glad this guy's speaking up though, he's a voice that many will listen to and i'm sick of seeing people like keemstar and gradeA getting brownie points for schoolyard bitching

What has IHE done? I'm on the verge on unsubscribing from Grade, but the only YouTube drama IHE covered I can think of off the top of my head is when YouTube fucks him over and that one guy who straight up stole his jokes.

IHE hasn't gone out of his way to cover any drama I'm aware of. Everything he has covered has just been shit effecting him personally.
I hate how he says "you guys" over and over, like I'm part of his videos. I'm not. It reminds me too much of those subtle things that YouTubers do make people feel like they're part of something, and get them to keep coming back and give them more money.

He uploaded all those in a row. I can't fault the guy at all for making those videos, they were important issues to him and that makes a lot of sense. I don't think he's wrong, I just don't care. When I go to my sub feed, I just want to watch entertaining shit.
Plus I can go to this section of facepunch to watch the best of his videos because most of the time you guys are good at filtering out the bullshit.
