A petition to deport Bieber and revoke his visa on the White House’s citizen portal reached 100,000 signatures Wednesday morning, the threshold needed for the White House to be required to respond.
The young pop star, who is Canadian and in the country on a temporary work visa, was arrested last week on charges of driving under the influence and resisting arrest. A petition was created the same day, urging the White House to revoke his permission to be in the country.
“We the people of the United States feel that we are being wrongly represented in the world of pop culture. We would like to see the dangerous, reckless, destructive, and drug abusing, Justin Bieber deported and his green card revoked,” The petition reads. “He is not only threatening the safety of our people but he is also a terrible influence on our nations youth. We the people would like to remove Justin Bieber from our society.”
Two competing petitions to not deport Bieber had a little more than 1,800 signatures combined as of 9 a.m. Wednesday, as the deportation request neared 101,000.

Still think thats remarkably rediculous
The petition is about as childish as Justin Bieber.

and yet again; the white house will most likely answer in a way that requires no further action. I personally find it hilarious this went as far as it did.
just gonna point out here that it's not a green card
The responses they give to these petitions are always meaningless.
They can even choose to just delete the petition if they don't feel like giving a response.

Should be a red card.
Haha get it?
I was never really a fan of this kid, either. But doesn't banning him from the country seem a bit much? I mean, thousand's of people born here are found in the same charges every other week.
Hopefully the response will be just be "Grow the fuck up"

Not really. If it was an "average" person getting arrested for DUI and resisting arrest, we sure as hell wouldn't be out the next day on $2500 bail. It's a hell of a bad message, both because it effectively puts celebrities above the law but also because of what it tells his young fanbase.
I'm sure that acting upon this petition won't even be considered, but the sole fact that it can be considered is priceless.

His "fanbase" such as it is, is already probably past redemption.

yeah, not looking to hot on that front.

No that person probably would be able to get out on bale, the difference is is that $2500 is pocket change for Justin Beiber and he can afford a much better lawyer than your average alcoholic can.

Ah yes, we white males have always been at a disadvantage throughout the entirety of human civilisation
Some of you are decrying this as childish and stupid.
Over the past several years, there was a wave of kids cutting themselves under the hashtag 'cutforbieber', he caused one of his fans to kill herself, he spit on his fans, he's caused trouble and numerous fights (all of which he has run from), got arrested for DUI and will get off scott free, had his house raided and hard drugs found in it and now there's a wave of girls getting themselves arrested for him.
If that's not a danger and bad infuence to our youth, I don't know what is.

If parents don't want their children to look up to this fool then they shouldn't let them. Saying he's a bad influence to children is like saying video games are a bad influence to children (NO SHIT SHERLOCK). You shouldn't let your 9 year old play GTA 5 and see people doing hard drugs, fucking hookers and hanging out with strippers. So if you don't want your kid to see that shit then don't let them.
Almost every rock star in history has been on some form of drugs or another. The Beetles had fun with LSD, Jimmy Hendrix did Heroin, Marilyn Monroe was a porn star and a drug addict, and the band poison was snorting all the cocaine that came out of Columbia. And what did they do back then when parents didn't want their children to be influenced by that crap? They took their CD's and posters away and told them to suck it up. It's not impossible to do the same now. Don't talk like people aren't able to control what influences their children.
We don't want him here either!
Deport him to Antarctic. Penguins may revolt, but who cares, they don't got no navy.

Because anymore they aren't. If they don't get it at home, they'll just go to their friends and get it there. And really, while there were people that were stupid about it, I don't think there were hundreds of teen girls cutting themselves or getting arrested for them. Besides, proper discipline is frowned upon nowadays and people have gotten in some serious trouble for even popping their kid on the mouth. You can sit here and argue all you want about parents but the problem will still stand and it will need to be taken care of.

It was but it still caught on and people still did it because they thought it was for him.

Social media completely changes the game though, a parent could confiscate a kid's phone or laptop but the kid could go to a friend's and still get the content they want. Whilst it's true that it is possible to curtail a child's influences, it's actually extraordinarily hard.

You can't deport someone for such minor offenses and frankly it's rather disconcerting that over 100,000 people think that you should.
This is a waste of everyone's time and just goes to show that no one takes these White House petitions seriously.
There are plenty of petitions on that site that I would love to see the White House comment on, but nope, the only ones that get significant votes are fucking deporting Justin Bieber and building a fucking Death Star.
The petition should be:
Don't let celebrities get away with shit normal people can't
Oh my god, that's great.

No the problem literally is the parents. People cry out now about bad influences because they're too lazy or don't know how to properly rear their children. They expect the government or the media to do it for them and then they're suddenly pissed off when their kids are cutting themselves, shaving their heads, and acting like shitdicks because they weren't properly raised.
It's not hard to deprive access of things from children. It's literally as simple as taking something away and telling them to deal with it. When I was a kid, if my parents didn't want me listening to Twisted Sister they'd say "Give me those CD's and quit listening to that cross-dressing sissy shit or you're not allowed to do X on Saturday". You don't have to beat them into submission to discipline them.
And when are they exactly supposed to respond.

actually yes you can
he's on a temporary work visa. committing any crimes on a work visa is grounds for visa cancellation/deportation as you are now in the country without a visa

Then don't let your fucking children go to their friends house and use a computer. Log onto their facebook and shut the account down, change the password on their itunes account, disconnect their xboxes from the internet and change the password on the Wifi. It is not hard to deprive a child from internet access.
I mean come on, parenting isn't easy and it isn't supposed to be. Raising another human to be a socially acceptable and socially productive adult is not an easy task. You can't get lazy and just shrug your shoulders because it's hard to raise your little shit.
