Hey, everybody! I'm here to talk to you about one thing, and one thing only.. killin na-... Getting/Being Healthy!! Step 1: Diet. Diet does not mean "CUT ALL CARBS AND ONLY EAT ON TUESDAYS AND SNORT COKE EVERY THURSDAY AND FIST YOUR CAT AFTER 8". A Diet is the generally routine meals and foods you intake on a daily basis. A healthy diet is very important. There are many aspects to a healthy diet, comprised mainly of; -Caloric Intake -Vitamins/Minerals -Chemicals ..and each effect you positively and/or negatively in different ways. Caloric intake is, obviously, the amount of calories you eat per day. Personally, I vary between 900 and 3000 (:bong:), but the average recommended intake for a regular teen is about 1200-2000 calories daily. You must change your caloric intake to fit your personal goals, activity level, stress level, metabolic rate, amount of sleep, and so forth. Everyone should know that eating too much causes excess (unused) calories to become fat, stored in fat cells primarily around your more vulnerable areas, such as stomache, inner thighs, and bum. Vitamins and Minerals are obvious as well. Vitamins A-Z (lol it's a joke) are important in your health. Vitamin C for example is in many citrus fruits, and energizes your body as well as fortifies your immune system. Zinc is extremely important for men (sperm sperm sperm sperm sperm), Calcium for bones, etc. /effort. Chemicals are the unwanted and unnecessary and usually harmful unnatural elements put into food. These include MSG, saturated fats, excess sodium, among others. It is not possible to eat organic-only, but it is possible to avoid these elements. Trim the fat off your steak, go for simple oatmeal cookies instead of double-extra-quad-choco-splosion-madman-suckdick-donuts. Next under diet, we have.. MEALS Typically, you should eat breakfast and drink 2x8oz glasses (or cups or mugs) of water within an hour of waking up. My usual breakfast consists of.. (This shit is SO good for you. 1 cup contains about 40% total of your necessary minerals and vitamins including Fibre, Zinc, Potassium, Iron, and so forth). Contrary to popular belief, it's not really that yucky. With 2% milk, a tall glass of ice water (cold water helps your system get going), and a peice of fruit. A snack later on, usually 3-5 hours later, is a good idea. I mainly take a sliced grape-fruit with me to school. Know why? Because, it is SO healthy for you that it makes medicine toxic. After returning home from school, I like to eat a couple of eggs or another bowl of all-bran or some bananas and PB. In the evening you should have another small snack (to avoid getting too hungry and eating lots at dinner) and to keep your metabolism active and digestion tract in motion. Dinner should consist of a medium-sized meal, low in fats and trans fats. EXCORCISMCISE! This is the worst part for most people. Me? I'm fit. I'm a smoker, but I can run a mile straight. Not fast, but hey, im a smoker. When I wake up I like to do 25 pushups, 4 straight-arm pullups, 35 situps or lemon-squeezers, and 50-60 squat crunches. The same before I go to sleep. This doesn't seem like much (it's not, takes 5 minutes to do) but the impact it makes is noticable as FUCK. 1-3 times a week Cardio and general fat-burning should be put into play. 100 jumping jacks, 50 star jumps (like a jumping jack, but 1 jump per jack), morning/evening routine, and low-intensity weight training. This evens out to about 300 calories burned. It doesn't seem like much, but it really is. There are no down-sides to it. Stress relief, self esteem, strength, endurance, and over-all health all benefit. SO MAKE A DECISION Months ago I was like you, eating half-thawed hot-dogs jammed into a jelly donut smeared in butter and doused in lighter fluid. But no! NO! I made a choice, I, J.D.R. will live healthy! (Backwards, my Initials are Dr. Jack Daniels) Obesity is no joke. I am not ultra-fit, I have a visible gut, but I am healthier than many people I know simply because of my diet, and more-so because of regular excercise. Make your choice, FP.
I just eat three times as much as I do normally, and take a protein bar with infused tapeworm eggs to clear out my system. It works like a charm.
Content is ruined by title
I do pretty intense cardio about 3 times a week, and play soccer on top of that. I also go to the gym 4 days a week and swim competitively most days. Screw donuts.
Well I am not fat and I won't get any fatter since i am getting taller so I can eat all I want until this getting taller thing ends.I also used to eat with diet and I was feeling really tired all the time so kids don't do this diet shit if you're under 18 unless your REALLY fat.
Yeah, after eating healthy for a week or two you don't crave foods like donuts or chips anymore.

I have hypothyroidism and and always hungry/skinny. I never have to worry about getting fat, but I have to spend 20$ on food for lunch every day. :(
Fuck that shit I want to live a fun, short, unhealthy life.
Eat better, exercise more. Simple as that.

Sheesh y'all I had an eating disorder, trying to break it up and started to eat. It's such a fucking difference; not having any energy at all and constantly relying on coffee and shit, to eating breakfast (even though sometimes forcefully so) and starts the day full of energy. Brosefs, eat. And do so nutritiously. Avoid eating fossil fuels (McD's Burger King, Wendy's and more).

Try to determine if this is a person or a computer responding. I can't tell if it does or not. I don't know anything about it. How old are you?
No oatmeal is better for breakfast and a mug of tea is way better in the morning than some cold shitty water. Also I like it when people recommend healthy food, it turns out that healthy food has the highest, bullshit price ever.
Wow, you have hardly any meat intake. I eat like a bear but I don't give a shit. Guys are meant to be big. Luckily, with my metabolism and my lifestyle, even though I eat lots of meat and lots of food (I usually have about 3000 calories) I gain the size and weight, but because I work out a lot (dumbbells, running, cardio) it keeps my fat gaining at a low. Love it. Also, I hate people who say eat healthy to be healthy. Sure, I love fruit and vegetables (did you know celery needs MORE energy to consume it then it makes? I love celery, tastes gorgeous and becomes a sort of chewing gum with all its strands) but that won't stop me from digging in to a lovely plate of hearty food. Bangers and mash. Steak and chips. But these are one off things, I never let it get too out of hand. I usually eat a lot of rice and arab dishes (im half arab) so I eat healthily (mum cooks everything from scratch). We always have salad accompanying a dish and my mum always throws a few vegetables in the curry or whatever.
Running a mile is no great achievement.... The average kinda-fit guy can run two miles without running out of breath. You are not athletic.
Running a mile is no great achievement.... The average kinda-fit guy can run two miles without running out of breath. You are not athletic.
not athletic.. artistic... i mean.. autistic
I've noticed eating whatever I want makes me happier than having to stick to a "healthy" diet. I don't mean eating like donuts 24/7, but it's not bad to have a damn soda and some chips with a sandwich. Also, EXERCISE! It keeps you skinny.
Due to metabolism, I burn through around 3,500 calories a day. Therefore, my secret to life is going to the gym four days a week, doing cardio one day a week, and eating, drinking, and smoking whatever the fuck I want. I'm 5'8" and 128lbs. and I love it.
AND FIST YOUR CAT AFTER 8
sorry what
I'm eating a Chocolate ice cream sandwich right now and its deliciously unhealthy.
The shitty tryhard jokes make the OP a tough read, but the general point is positive. Personally, I can't eat All Bran (god fucking damn I want to, I USED to) due to having a wheat allergy. If I ate a bowl of that, by lunch time I'd be flushing my guts out my ass. Sadly, most people are just too slack to manage their diet and put in a little excercise each week. It seems to tough to maintain at first, but christ, just DO IT. I went from a 130kg fat slob to my present 90kg toned sexyness, and I couldn't be happier for it. Took me six months to do and all I did was be more organised with what I ate and when I ate it, and put in some nightly excercise. When you get into a rythm, you don't even think about how 'hard' it is... You just go with it and it's great.
When you get into a rythm, you don't even think about how 'hard' it is... You just go with it and it's great.
Pretty much all that has to be said. Just make it a healthy rhythm.
Say what? Healthy..... Exercise..... Diet? What are these strange words? Anyway I feel I'm healthy for the moment
So basically.. common sense?
So basically.. common sense?
Yes pretty much!
So basically.. common sense?
Most people have lost the skill known as common sense.
Five smaller meals a day is much healthier than 3 big meals a day.
