Seriously. "A 1,000,000 volt keyboard???" exclaims an apparently incredulous W.K. in a statement. "This is absolutely a once-in-a-lifetime musical experience and probably the most dangerous musical instrument ever created! I'm absolutely electrified and terrified by the opportunity to play a keyboard solo with so much energy, and to use this incredibly powerful device to send a musical surge through David's brain! I just hope he can withstand my high-powered party piano playing!" W.K. will rock out on a keyboard powered by seven towering Tesla coils that will surround Blaine, who will stand on a 20-foot-high platform at New York's Hudson River Park Pier 54. The million volts of rockage will stream around and through Blaine for three days and nights. Dubbed Electrified, the stunt is part of Blaine's Ultrabook Experience partnership with Intel. W.K.'s performance will take place at 7:30 p.m. Fans will be able to control the coils through Ultrabook stations located in various cities around the world, and the entire event will be live-streamed here. I just love andrew's smile, it would cheer anyone up :v:
Well, if it wasn't a gimmick before...
Real men would have 20 amps going through their body.
I wanna see him send one million ampere through his body. That would be a lightning show.
Now do it without the Faraday suit.
it's not through his body, it's through his suit. Also, how can you pass 1 million volts through someone? Volts are electric potential, not actual energy.
A shocking display that will send the internet abuzz with punny messages.
it's not through his body, it's through his suit. Also, how can you pass 1 million volts through someone? Volts are electric potential, not actual energy.
He's using the fact that most people, particularly his audience, don't actually know what volts mean, other than something used to measure electricity. He's just manipulating their ignorance.
So he's just exploiting the ignorance of the audience, what an ass. Let's see him do a 1 million amp stunt, then I'll be impressed.

David Blaine looks like he's held his breath a bit too long. Then you consider how he speaks...
David Blaine looks like he's held his breath a bit too long. Then you consider how he speaks...
Not only does he look like that, I think one of his stunts was to do exactly that...I think he held his breath for about 20 minutes or something.
David Blaine looks like he's held his breath a bit too long. Then you consider how he speaks...
He's always spoken slow as shit.
The only danger in this stunt this is going 3 days and nights without water
"I'm absolutely electrified and terrified by the opportunity to play a keyboard solo with so much energy"
I guess you can say this is going to be a shocking performance.
Not only does he look like that, I think one of his stunts was to do exactly that...I think he held his breath for about 20 minutes or something.
he actually did a lot for that stunt, IIRC he tried putting a small Co2 scrubber in his throat so he could recycle the oxygen. when that didn't work, he just held his breath. this "stunt" is just pure laziness though.
So he's just exploiting the ignorance of the audience, what an ass. Let's see him do a 1 million amp stunt, then I'll be impressed.
1 million amps? Man, that'd probably make him explode. I don't know if I have the stomach to see that.
it's not through his body, it's through his suit. Also, how can you pass 1 million volts through someone? Volts are electric potential, not actual energy.
1 million volts at whatever near 0 current would still give you a number in watts.
For the last time, the voltage doesn't matter, it's the current that kills you. He could put a billion volts through himself if the current was low.
lmao
If I recall correctly (correct if wrong), if the voltage is too low it won't even penetrate your skin. If the voltage is high then it will just give you a painful but non-lethal zap. But if you have high voltage (skin penetration) with high amperage then you are going to be cooked.
Yeah so voltage does matter, not sure why you quoted me.
He better get ready to die. [sp]you know, in case something goes wrong, which most likely won't happen c:[/sp]
Yeah so voltage does matter, not sure why you quoted me.
Because you had a pointless reply. At least he tries to explain that voltage matters instead of saying "lmao."
Yeah so voltage does matter, not sure why you quoted me.
Because voltage by itself won't kill you and you implied it would cause you to explode.
Because he is using large numbers to scare the masses that are too stupid or lazy to do the research that would obviously show that he isn't in any danger and anyone could do this.
Wear faraday cage, kick emperor palpatines ass.
Goddamnit people do I have to find the video from the other thread that explained the basic physics that explains that the volts determine the amps in relation to the human bodies resistance, which doesn't make a difference with a shock but for a prolonged period it does become a serious danger?
"[...]he'll rip a solo on a one million-volt leopard[...] "A 1,000,000 volt leopard???" exclaims an apparently incredulous W.K. in a statement.
