tony stark gets injured in an attack, captured by terrorists and forced to build a missile. so he builds a suit to help him escape. thats not so bad, but when you consider that after he got back rather than turn over an energy source that could replace nuclear power and have no ill effects on the environment he just said: "nah i'll just drink some more and add more weapons to my shiny suit even though i made my company stop making weapons." "Hmm build an awesome missile / energy blast firing suit and kill bad guys or help the environment?" Seriously, you'd have to be a pretty sad guy to go for the latter.
i didn't say he couldn't have both just that he didn't turn over the reactor AT ALL!
So...? Fuck the environment, I'M IRONMAN BITCHES
i didn't say he couldn't have both just that he didn't turn over the reactor AT ALL!
Well you saw what he made with the small reactor... Let's have the bad guys get it :downs:
i didn't say he couldn't have both just that he didn't turn over the reactor AT ALL!
Then villains would figure out it's weaknesses or something and know about any weak spots.
you make a fair point but i still think it errs on the side of retardation
You expect normal logic? In a comic book movie? What?
it just seems like common sense to me
He was given limited time and resources to make the bomb, afterward he was going to be executed. His friend and fellow captive was dying and couldn't escape. Instead they decide to first build a reacor which will save Tony's life and them build a super suit to kill their captors. That doesn't seems stupid to me considering they had the knowledge, time, skill and resources to do it. And he stopped building weapons because they were just bigger and more destructive. Putting weapons on his suit makes it so he knows no innocents are being harmed by his weapons.

This is what made Tony Stark such an awesome character.
Iron man or clean limitless power for everyone. FUCKING IRON MAN WOOO!
To be honest "energy conservation man" sounds slightly shitter than "I-RON MAAAAAAAAN"
You don't understand the character at all. HIS weapons, HIS labor, had been used to hurt innocents. His technology, all his work, Was all for nothing, if he wasn't doing it for Americas interest as he thought. Thats why he makes the suit. So he can make SURE that the second time around. He helps people.
He's talking about the energy source you retards.
Infinte power = infinite power. People would abuse it and cause a lot of trouble. If Tony didn't trust the world with bombs why would he give them infinite power?
If he had given the power source over it could be copied by dangerous countries to create bombs and stuff. He caused world peace by destroying weapons, he wouldn't want to ruin that.
My god, I didn't think anyone would be dumb enough to make a thread saying a sci-fi comic book has un-realistic characteristics.
My god, I didn't think anyone would be dumb enough to make a thread saying a sci-fi comic book has un-realistic characteristics.
I always hated spiderman and superman for not using urban camo.
And being a homo in general. "Oh, I can't handle being spiderman. Oh, what about Mary Jane. Oh, how am I supposed to live a normal life. BAAWWWWWWWW" Grow a pair. I mean the guy swings around in tights all day, and uses sticky white stuff from his wrists to capture people.
He was a fucking teenager when he started out.
Any teenager would be like "THIS IS AWESOME" rather than go all emo. I mean, even if you WERE an emo, I'm sure being able to climb walls and stuff would brighten up your day.
If it generates such an incredible amount of energy surely his fear is that it would be weaponised, so by keeping it to himself he would be hoping to do as much good on his own as possible with it. Also stop complaining the film was sick.
But... what if you're afraid of heights?
Well you don't HAVE to climb up buildings. Not using the webs wouldn't kill you. And even if you don't use them you're still super-strong.
He's just that badass.
Tony Stark built a miniature reactor more powerful and safer than a nuclear power plant. IN A CAVE. WITH SCRAPS.
This....has been pointed out before. But like everyone else said, wouldn't you rather have the exhilarating power of Iron?
