this is exactly the same thing that happened to me when I let go of a poisonous photography client- he pretended to be one of his sponsors threatening legal action over slander/defamation. I contacted the president of the sponsoring company (who my client worked for directly, who was also the guy who was supposed to be paying me for my work at contract end) and the guy didn't even know who I was
It's pretty amazing how good some people are at taking a small issue and turning it into something that could net them a lot of financial losses or even jail time

I love how Savage threw in that IHE also had to non-ironically say "Cool Cat loves you!" as a part of the apology. It makes it sound less like this is about "saving his brand's reputation", as he claims, and that this is more about Savage taking it personally because of some off-putting attachment to his Cool Cat character. Most of us thought Savage was a little off, no doubt, but that one line in the email kind of cements it for me.
Thought everyone got sick and tired of this I Hate Everything guy from the last thread because of his "dumb self-insert, voice, etc".

He's average at best but it's more about Derek Savage's bullying and copyright crusade.
Been following this since the beginning since I was subbed to IHE's channel. Very satisfying to see justice prevail on YouTube for once. The Cool Cat reviews are back up again, and they're beautiful to see. I rarely see removed YouTube videos return from the void.
I can't believe Savage impersonated a law firm, though. You can't make shit like this up. That's just fucking pathetic and hilarious. This guy completely destroyed his own reputation all to try and take out some kid on YouTube who criticized his movie. Amazing.
It's been shown over and over again that abusing copyright law doesn't work, how could people be this stupid doing this kind of shit while ignoring what has happened in the past?

I honestly don't understand or care for IHE, I sincerely hope he realizes that half the shit he says is just overreacting and he sincerely doesn't mean it, but eh. he has my respect for having a decent amount of humor and isn't one of those people are are like "LOL U LIKE [blank] YOU MUST BE AUTISTIC AND RETARDED AND WRONG"

The channel is literally named [I]I Hate Everything[/I], so that's kind of the point.
I really don't mind IHE, I like how he's made it clear the channel is about his numerous negative [I]opinions[/I].
