And I just bought the ezio ACs to show my gf, damn it :v:
Nothing says next gen more than selling old games ported from pc for full price
I only noticed that AC2 has sharper textures, something it desperately needed. That's it. Nothing else. That's really it.
When you want to keep milking that cow but the cow stopped making milk so you use the leftover cream to make overripe cheese.
What is it with 2016 and remasters? Bioshock, Res Evil, Arkham games, and now some Ass Creed thrown in there. It's not even that they're hard to run on modern systems or anything (minus RE) unlike many classic games. :v:
The fuck is up with Uberto's eyes though
So instead of rehashing basically the same game over and over, they now choose to fully rehash old games. Thanks Ubi
I am pretty bored with the Assassins Creed gameplay overall, but AC Revelations was pretty fantastic when I played it years ago. AC 2 speaks for itself since asides from Black Flag it is by far the best out of them all. I've never played brotherhood but it did well critically so it may be worth it for me to get the collection.

The PS4 still doesn't.
Side note for the ending: we have to stop calling the current gen consoles "the next gen consoles" they have been out for nearly 3 years now.
at first, i was surprised they didn't announce a next-gen port of ac1, but then i realized that next year will be the tenth anniversary of the franchise already, so they're probably waiting for that.

It came out so early in the life span that it would be nice to play them on newer consoles for people to play on.
Damn, I was really hoping they'd bring the trilogy to an updated engine, or at the very least revamp the gameplay to bring it more in line with the modern entries. AC2 is still the best from a story standpoint, but I enjoyed the combat/traversal in AC: Unity and Syndicate more than any other entry. I'd even take AC4's gameplay, even though that made the game far too easy.
Damn this trailer made me realize how much better of a character Ezio was than the other assassins
Damn this trailer made me realize how much better of a character Ezio was than the other assassins
Ezio was a great character, the games really built his development nicely.
AC2 needed the biggest face lift of them all, and hasn't aged that well, imo. They fixed up the textures, but didn't fix up any of the lighting. Honestly kind of disappointing. It plays better, it's more versatile, but the jump between the two games didn't bring much new things. Rather, just did it best, imo. Everything in between, though, made it all make sense, though. When you follow the story it feels like seamless character development, and it made it very, very satisfying when you get to play as Ezio at his peak. And then you go into AC:3 which was a fucking disgrace in terms of character development, having Connor's "call to adventure" be literally just a shiny god-like figure appearing, and saying "go do this," with absolutely nothing else. Connor could have been replaced with literally anyone else in that scene, and it would have been just as significant. I'm glad they fixed that up a good amount in Black Flag.
Black Flag was the best AC but Ezio is the best character.
this is giving me the urge to go back and play. they were practically flawless and Ezio remains one of my favorite characters. true masterpieces. It's such a shame they haven't been able to keep the quality these games had. only one that came close was black flag

Didn't they essentially cut every game in half seeing as every game in the collection no longer has its own multiplayer mode? This deal would be okay if I hadn't played through these games already. :v:
Shame they're not looking over the first game. The writing is so much better in the first game and Altaïr is a way more interesting character than Ezio is.
