• Computer Addiction: My Problem, and how I need something else to do

Right, Let's keep this thread quick and simple as it's just adding to the time that I spend staring at the screen of my laptop, in-game on the web or on Facepunch/Facebook. It's a really bad habit and I have a good feeling that this is going to be the time that I will stop it. I have considered getting a job, but in the UK, will they really take a worker of just 13 years of age? There is also the fact that I could go outside for a bit, for I have a vast majority of friends, however, I can never find them or pin them down at the right time. There is also the fact that they are normally out long before me, either that or they ask me if I can come in and we are on a PC/Console within the first 20 minutes. So, I ask you Facepunch, what should I do to escape the clutches of the shiny metal box that I call the computer, shall I just shut it down, close the lid and walk away. Onto my desktop. No, because this method never fixed anything. However, I need something to do that will draw me away from the computer, because although I am quite thin, I highly doubt constant gaming is doing any wonders for my eyesight or anything else in my body. I'm desperate guys, suggest some things I could do cheaply when I am in the UK and need to get off the computer! I am in good physical condition, fairly thin and can run for large amounts of distance, and ride for slightly further (unless it's uphill, in which case I'd run). So tell me Facepunch, a desperate computer addict requires your assistance. Assist me please, by telling me things I could do.
Cars n shit Find out if you have a local speedway and get a tunable car and tune it to hell then have fun
Take up some arty stuff.
Take up some arty stuff.
I would, and I'd love to be able to draw like some of the people in the Creationism Corner, however, from an early age, I've had problem with arty things (computerised art is easy, but actual hand-drawn is really hard). Thank you for the suggestion, but I don't think that's the right thing for me
Cars n sh*t
Thank you, but I'm not old enough

Stay on the computer till you die. fuck e-bitches, smoke skooma, kill elves. Wisdom. :frogc00l:
Thread is now about hearts.
Start practicing?
You don't understand. I find it extremely hard to do any art of any kind. I'd love to be able to, but my images always look terrible, especially if there is any painting/precise penciling involved. Any ideas for art that I could do?
become a fashionista and spend all your time at the hair salon and at the club.

Especially if you're just 13, that's plenty of time to dedicate to whatever it is you want to get better at.

Begin playing WoW. By then you'll be comfortable with who you are.
Grow a spine, or commit suicide. If you can't do either to stop using a computer your life isn't worth living.
Join an organized religion and spend vast loads of time researching the way of enlightenment.
Thank you. I will try this, where shall I start?
I was in the exact same position as you when it comes to drawing; I do 3d animation and consider myself quite good at it, however I was terrible at drawing. They say all good animators are also good drawers too, so to be successful, I had to start drawing, no matter how much I hated it. When I started Uni, I made myself draw anything, a hand, a mug, anything, and eventually I started getting my drawing to an acceptable standard where I no longer hated it. I know some of this may not be relevant, but practice really is the key to success when it comes to drawing. Start off with simple things, then start challenging yourself and see where it gets you!
I'm going to try art, and I already have a freaking spine Rosek, and my computer doesn't dominate my life, it's just that it's my favourite thing to do, and I felt as if I needed to get off it. I'm seeking self-help, but still have no clue where I should start with art Thanks, Acezors, that's completely relevant, and I think I'm going to sketch my laptop - no wait - a game box - no wait. What should I draw to start off with? That isn't my cock, because that's all Facepunch thinks about

So Juggernog, ever been penetrated?
OP if you want I can cuddle you, tell you happy stories and say that everything is going to be alright
I'm going to try art.
U are now an alt bro, no longer nerd :D
OP if you want I can cuddle you, tell you happy stories and say that everything is going to be alright
Wow, this is awkward, you sound like a psychopathic paedophile So - Analog, what's my alt, should I have one?
Stop being dicks guys, he's 13 for crying out loud. At least he's decent enough to admit he's got a problem, which is something most of you people wouldn't do.
Why not start training for some 10k runs and stuff. Thats what i do when im not at the computer or at work. I don't think you'd be able to get a gym member ship at 13 but if you just run every other day, gradualy getting further and further and it can be a really satisfying hobby. There is something like 6000, 10k runs in the UK every year so im sure you could train for a few. (10k = 6 miles)
So Juggernog, ever been penetrated?
You're not into guys like me. I heard that you, Megan Fox, a female, broke up with a female lover in another thread, so, no. I do not wish to meet up with you in real life. Thank you for offering though
Join an organized religion and spend vast loads of time researching the way of enlightenment.
Or join a non-organized religion and try to organize it, that could be fun...

ill tell you what i did. well a while back I installed a torrent (TORRENTS = BAD dont use them) of an OS and it fucked my computer up (dont download torrents at all anyways! they are baaad) so I had to wait a week for ACER to send in a recovery disk since my computer got stuck at the first few boot up screens. this is just my story but maybe take a vital part out of your computer like the keyboard or mouse or swap your mouse or keyboard for shitty ones that you would rather not use. so making your computer a really hard place to work or relax can get you out of addiction. helped me and in the meantime I lifted weights and now im building my muscles.
what's my alt, should I have one?
You will discover that as u move through ur journey of life. This collage should mean something to you.
