what exactly is resin? i read it's that sticky black ashy stuff that collects in pipes and other paraphernalia. my pipe has a good amount ofresin and i was told you could make something out of it.

I think it's basically just tar. I don't think you want to make anything from it although people smoke it and get high.
You can't really make anything out of it, you just roll it into a small ball and smoke it.

You can make a bowl out of resin... and then smoke it. The tasting like shit thing can be remedied by making a bowl by putting a little bit of weed in first, then resin, then moar weed.

Resin does taste really shit, but if you have a bowl before hand, wait for it to kick in, then smok the resin, you won't care as much about the taste. Also, it has a really high THC content per unit volume, so it gets you quite high.

I don't know if you can vaporize resin. Something makes me doubt it because the composition is different than dried plant matter meaning a different vaping point.

Just because something "gives off smoke when it's hot" doesn't mean it can be vaporized. It's a shame as there's a few RCs I'd be keen to vaporize but their vape temps are either too high or they're unstable when heat is applied to them. There's also the chance that they contain carcinogenic metabolites. Wahey.

Wanting to try and be healthy is being unusual? I specifically would want to vaporize something so rich in tar as resin as it's unlikely to be pleasant and is unlikely to be good for your lungs. There's nothing normal about smoking and there's nothing normal about vaporizing but I like to try new things.

Add a dab of res to a well packed bowl. Standby for quality high
Resin doesn't even taste bad... It's a short high though so if you don't have a lot don't expect much.

Yeah you can vaporize resin, I mean once you get to the vaporization point of THC it will, well vaporize. I've done with a light bulb vape and it worked quite well.

if im running low on weed, i scrape a bit of resin off, pack a small(ish) bowl and sprinkle the resin on top of it. taste difference isn't too noticeable.
Yo, you do spot with it. Heat up two knives, cut up half a bottle, put the resin in between the knives under the bottle half and suck through the top of the bottle. You can also do this with weed. Oh and some people call it 'Chasing the Dragon'.

You can vaporize resin but it sucks. Spots of Resin are way better.
I love scraping all my pieces when I'm dry and getting a huge ball of resin.
